As long as you have a stable internet connection, there is no reason at all to update custom sprites.
use game.exe to launch and it will always have all the newest sprites.

Sounds good! You can remap them to keyboard button keys.

So like your A button on steam deck should be mapped to the C keyboard key or ENTER
B button on steam deck should be mapped to X or Escape

There is a way to delete your keybindings file for it to reset also, but you'd have to find your save folder and delete it from there

Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Depends on your pc. This is a known area of slowness for some PCs. Turning off custom sprite icons or reducing the number of Pokemon in specific boxes helps too

Hey @trim moth! Are you having trouble starting the game? If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on your computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

As the bot mentions, black screen is a loading screen. Duration is based on your PC

If you having sudden performance issues out of nowhere, restart your computer (no joke). Don’t shut down the computer, use the restart option to free up processes on your computer

This has helped everyone that says the same of it was working fine and then out of nowhere my game is slow

I'm having an issue where I have completed the base pokedex, and even beyond just 420. However it seems I can't get the magical boots from the Game Dev NPC. Everything else in the game is working perfectly fine, unless I'm missing something after checking the Dex several times, I'm just lost.

There was a bug where if you spoke to update man and looked through his randomizer settings, even if you didn’t turn them on, looking at them enables randomized

Nice. When that is done just open the game and give it time. Your PC needs time to sort the sprites

As long as you dragged the graphics folder from the custom sprites on top of your InfiniteFusion folder that is good. But when you reopen the game it will let you know if it detected new sprites

If the additional info helps, I did look at those settings, prior to the 6 update, somewhere around the 5.? something. So it def didn't give me any warning, but I dont remember changing any settings, only looking over stuff.

Egg hatching sprite only comes from initial install.

You can rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE to see if it installs it back or you need to reinstall in a new folder if it doesn’t

You don't want to and you don't need to. The game will download all of the sprites on its own if you have decent internet. Whenever you encounter a new pokemon/fusion.

Keep in mind, this game is not made for mobile! The only workarounds we provide are in the guide. Any tile issues, performance issues, or bugs on Android cannot be fixed as they are JoiPlay issues. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

That's fine, you're using an old version of the lightweight installer it seems.
It is looking for species.zip, but that file doesn't get used anymore so it's fine that it is missing.
