hello all. does anyne have a fix for the black map issue? its specifically affects caves and cinnabar island for me so far.
i've been able to brute force through other caves but is very frustrating to do this one

ok, fixed it. Fingers crossed that its permanent. I reinstalled the game. (Edit - it has only worked for the shelder map, the other maps that are black remain black. )

We can’t help with that. That is just extracting a folder. If it extracted, it is on your computer

This is an issue with your game not being able to load the game sprites or your tilesets having issues. Use the files in the video below instead:

If you open your game folder and find the SaveFile shortcut, it takes you to your save files.

If you go to your save with magic boots, then select go to title screen, and go to another save, you still have debug mode enabled. So you can give that second save magic boots as well

Anytime there is a new update, just double click the .bat and it will grab the update and reinstall

Hey @finite osprey! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.
Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Hey @toxic scaffold! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

you are welcome to try game-preloaded but you will need an extra download
and just so you are aware preloaded takes longer to load up on start because it needs to load as much of the game as it can

the zip is downloaded in your Downloads folder on your phone
when you unzip the plugins, the folder is created in your Downloads folder as well

Hey @abstract stratus! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Yeah some people for whatever reason, can't get a stable connection to our game repo. Not sure why since that is a network issue not a repo issue
The app enables more support for installing in this case, but it isn't 100% it will fix.
But in the case it doesn't fix, it provides a google drive link for you to get the game

Hey @tepid ibex! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.
Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

you can click OK to proceed, but just giving you a warning if OneDrive is synching on your game folder, it results in a lot of errors

If you open OneDrive and click Settings
Then click Account and click Choose Folders. You can uncheck the InfiniteFusion folder there to stop Onedrive synch.

Hey @crisp plover! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Correct. We also have a new app installer/launcher if you want to use it also. It is maintained by me so it gets a lot of updates/improvements
You can link your existing game folder to it also so you don't have to redownload the game
