Hi i have problem where whenever i exit a building or an area, it black screens for 15-20 seconds. this sometimes happens after a fight as well. This issue only started when i updated the game to its latest version. the update was a little botched but now it is working. how to fix?

Hey @hasty magnet! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

but you can extract the 2 folders inside the zip right to the inside of the graphics folder inside the infinite fusion folder

if you have windows you can run disk cleanup to clear old junk off your pc

sounds like you need to restart , not shut down, but restart your computer. There haven't been any changes and usually when out of nowhere you are getting lag and errors in game, restarting works

So that is where the game is loading. Clicking on it too many times will get you that error every time. That is a known error

if you just imported sprites, that is where it indexes and sortes them also

but if you moved your game to a different folder/location, you can use Settings Change Linked Folder to point where your folder is now without needing to redownload

This happens when you try connecting to the game when you are having an internet outage. In some cases, your internet provider will override the DownloadedSettings file and add in internet provider error messages in there, that is why it can't read the file now

Yeah when I was helping someone else with this issue, they had Spectrum messaging in it and in the message above, it looks like they added html code in it

To fix:

1. Delete the file DownloadedSettings.rb located in \InfiniteFusion\Data\Scripts
2. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat inside your game folder or if using the app installer Installation Menu -> Update Game.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried to get this to run on a retropie system using ports? This is where I currently run all my pokemon games for nuzlocks, renegade platinum, etc and would love to run infinite fusion from the same system but since it is not a rom it would need to be ported in because emulators such as desmume would not work. Totally understand if this is not possible and I already have it setup and running on my laptop if it is not possible.

Hey @warped magnet! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

ok, i have an idea on how to "attempt" to fix the problem, but i can't guarantee this will work in any capacity

first delete the game folder entirely [i.e., even empty it out of your recycle bin, don't worry about your save, it is stored somewhere else]
then i want you to double check for any GPU driver updates [sometimes older drivers can cause games to freak out]
after that restart your pc [not shut it down, just do a restart; which if you have a gpu driver update, you will need to do anyway]
then get a fresh install of the game and see if the issue persists

if it persists then honestly I am at a loss as to why you are unable to even get into the game to fix the screen issue

Hey @wanton snow! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

You just need to relink it cause for some reason it didn’t regrab the version number. You can see at the top you do have 6.0.5 so the update worked

Click change linked folder
Select your game folder

In default Infinite fusion, my loading times getting out of buildings were long so I switched to preloaded which fixed the problem. However, now anything involving moving pokemon takes awhile to load instead

Restarting didn't seem to help nor did going to the game fixing guy
