Hey @zealous fable! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Hey @zealous fable! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Yeah they tend to have REALLY slow disk access, I've run into those issues in the past. They also tend to have undocumented swapfile issues when you're close to the limit of internal storage, so ensure you're using an SD card for sprite download/extract

If you look closer, you'll notice that the "Savefile" folder is not a real folder. It's actually a shortcut.

hey y'all, been trying to get infinite fusion to work on mac and running into an issue with wine on the final step. when i create a wrapper, i've gotten an error message that says 'dosservices doesn't exist,' but it still creates the wrapper and the ability to move a folder. when i try to move IF in there, it takes a long time -- which i understand is normal bc of the file size -- but i'm wondering if dosservices error is causing wine to not make any progress

also tried to open game.exe file through wine stable & was unable to get it open through 4-5 different attempts

Payapon fixed it, pushed it to the sprite repo, and it was fixed automatically for everyone if you are playing dynamic. You would have to delete the file you currently have though for it to redownload the fixed one

hello, i had to move some files and now my game doesn't know where to look for itself... as in it can't find the root directory to load the game. funny that the launcher still works, but is there a way i can manually set the directory?

Update on my situation
The plan with copy and replacing the randomised to get the same spawns didn't work

Good news is I found the debug mode so I got my main team team back

Also tried to get progression as close as possible
Not perfect but I can use cut, flash and rock smash like I should be

Click More Info and click Run Anyway. As long as you got the files from this discord, it is safe

Reason you are getting these prompts is because Windows doesn't like we don't pay them to be verified publishers. So it flags our installers (we have 2) as suspicious. But again as long as you got it from discord you are safe

the sprites themselves being absent is usually a product of using game-preloaded, only real fix is to not use that application, or just relaunch the game

the dna symbol stuff if that is missing, that is the first I've heard of it

using those is normally a means of helping with lag

Hey @north laurel! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

preloaded is meant for those who can't handle the normal game

so it preloadeds all the sprites from your local machine before starting the game

you open the normal game by opening game.exe or if you are using the app installer, unchecking Enable Preloaded and clicking Play

If you use Thief to steal an item you already have, the Pokemon is equipped with an item in your bag instead of a new one.

Example: I have two Quick Powder in bag. I use Thief on a Ditto holding a Quick Powder. After combat, my Pokemon is equipped with Quick Powder, and I have one Quick Powder in bag.

It's this a known bug?

Theif works correctly if you have zero of the item in bag.

That seems to be the same bug I am experiencing, yeah. Hopefully that will be fixed eventually; for now I'll just have to remember to dump items I'm trying to steal into my PC.

InfiniteFusion folder is the name of the folder when you install the game

If you still have the zip, extract it again. Move the Misc folder to the folder you currently have

As I mentioned, this would only be removed if you deleted it or something on your computer deleted it. The zip comes with it no matter what 😅

what I provide was the equivalent of you long tapping the game and selecting optimize maps which joiplay says is the only way of making maps look better on your device

Hey @shell pine! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

I just downloaded dynamic version on my new pc, but the loading zones took way too long to load so i put the full sprite folder into my game using the instructions but now whenever I load the game the screen is just black (for both preloaded and dynamic) any idea why?

The black screen is where it is processing and indexing the sprites into the appropriate folders

restart the pc (not shutdown but restart) if you have a long black screen on startup (before the fusion animations play)
if you get the black screen before you get to the save files,m give the game time to srot the sprites, that takes (depending on the performance) between 1 and 10 minutes
