I installed it with the file embedded in discord and then put it in my graphics folder and it was just 97

There is a good chance you are still missing some of the new base-sprites needed for preloaded then.
That would explain why it only happens on some encounters (a mon who got a new basesprite)

Basesprites are not in any sprite-pack, you need very specific files for preloaded to work properly.
There should be multiple messages about this around the discord.
I suggest using our newly created launcher if you need to play preloaded. written guide or video guide

Thats why i asked why you are downloading spritepacks, there is little to no reason to download them ever. even on preloaded. Not a personal dig

This is based on your folder path. So that warning will always be there if your path to the folder you selected has OneDrive in it.

If this isn't the reason you want to play preloaded, then open Game.exe since that one doesn't require any setup to open the game.

Especially calculating pokemon and their stats on the fly vs just getting them from a database. this resulted in needing more power/proceessing speed to play the game. So essentially the minimum requirements to play the game went up for this bigger update

Launching the game using the installer. I updated my game since the version I was playing was like, 4.5 or something in the 4.X, downloaded the sprites, and then launched the game. This is the error I'm getting.

probably from having that old save file in there. Are you ok with deleting the files in your save folder? Anything 4.x isn't compatible with 6.x

What can i do to get my player sprite back?
I lost it when i frist entered the Battle tower (right side) single battle with a flygon, dragonite and a charizard.

When i lost the Sprite, the Fights didnt start and i could roam around the fighting area with only on person in the corner but nothing to interact with. Because i wanted to quit to title screen any m accidental safe before i did, i was softlocked within this contained area.
I killed my pokemon by using poison mushroom on them to faint them out.
After that, my sprite was missing permanently.

I had this missing sprite bug before (speed up active whilest using the pokeflute for the first time on the open world Snorelax, but i was able to regain my sprite after various world interactions)

Hey @compact jetty! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

I completely reinstalled the game (version 6.0.5, downloaded InfiniteFusion.zip from #downloads as well as the Full SpritePack) after running into the depicted issue, but it still happens 😦
It crashes everytime I start the first battle on Route 22. I started the game in Modern Mode and after receiving the Pokedex I talked to the Update Man in Viridian City's PokeCenter to randomize my wild encounter and normal NPC Trainers. I started the game via Game.exe and I'm on Windows 10

Is it not supported to randomize trainers in Modern Mode or any idea on how I can fix this (while keeping randomized trainers)?
Cause when I initially start in Randomizer Mode, the Gym Leaders will use their Classic teams if I don't randomize them, right?

I suggest trying the preloaded version of the game. That is the optimized version of the game for those not able to handle the dynamic version. With the app installer, click settings and check the checkbox for it. It will let you know if you missing sprites to enable it

Preloaded is only used if you have performance issues or want to play offline. This doesn't work out of the box, you need to set it up.

If this isn't the reason you want to play preloaded, then open Game.exe since that one doesn't require any setup to open the game.

No this is due to you missing the sprites. The game randomized which custom base sprite to use in the title screen. If you missing one, you crash and get that error. So you missing them but you just happen to get a combo you have the sprites for

Yeah could also just need a computer restart if you haven’t done that in a while and the game has sprite cache in the Pokémon box. The more you navigate through your box, the sprites are cached

Hey @pale magnet! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Unfortunately optimizing maps is the only thing you can do. Keep trying until it works.

On Android there are a lot of routes with sprite issues, but we cannot fix those because this game is not developed for Android. This is an issue with JoiPlay specifically and we cannot fix it because this game is optimized for Windows Only.
