The game will look for custom sprites first for a Pokemon. If it doesn’t have one, it will look for the preloaded auto gen sprite. So without, your Pokemon will be invisible if it doesn’t have a custom sprite and no auto gen

Not every Pokemon has a custom sprite so that is why you need the auto gen

I have an issue with my game. I originally downloaded the game from the fake website, not knowing it was fake. I played up until the second badge with the crazy lag going between areas and when fusing, and finally I got fed up and decided to re-download it from the discord so I could do the preloaded sprites thing. I've just encountered a bug, which prevents me from getting the Regirock/Registeel fusion. If you leave the Rock/Steel chamber when there are still rocks on any of the pressure plates, you are unable to move any more rocks on those plates, which prevents me from clearing that puzzle

Hey @reef wasp! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Open Game.exe instead. Game-preloaded is only if you have performance issues or want to play offline, but still require you to download 3gb of sprites

Winrar is an extraction tool. When you install it, you probably left the option to make it your default extraction tool. That is why you see the files with Winrar icons

Hey, I’ve seen other people have some issues with the game having severe loading times, and it’s the same for me here. I just freshly deleted and then redownloaded the game via the installer app found here, but nothing changed. I’m having to wait upwards of a minute after every fight and every time I enter or exit a building. Discounting hand-downloading all the sprites before hand and doing the preloaded launcher (which last time I tried didn’t work), is there anything I can do? If you click on Install Preloaded Sprites, it installs every sprite available for the game. With the installer, you don't need any of the zips in #downloads anymore.

But Preloaded sprites are ONLY if you have performance issues and want to play the preloaded game. I would suggest installing custom sprites if you aren't planning on playing preloaded

the installer is flexible. If you install custom sprites, and you notice performance is bad, all you have to do is install the missing sprites (auto gen sprites) and you are good

Preloaded is just a combo of the other 2 sprite options in the Sprite menu

Correct. Installing the sprites is for the most part a 1 time thing. If you are playing the normal, non preloaded version, the sprites download automatically as you play.

Benefit of installing them up front is saving the time downloading the sprites, your computer setting up folders for it, moving sprites around, etc.

Hey @stark robin! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

1. You are having network issues. That is the error you got. It isn’t saying you need to connect to the internet, it is saying your network is not stable. There is a difference
2. RGS error is a loading issue with your computer, that has nothing to do with the installer at all. That is the game saying your computer is having troubles loading the game.

Sorry got side tracked, so this is saying another process is still running somewhere preventing you from installing in that folder. I would suggest reinstalling using the installer since it will install in a new folder.

No KIF installs their customBaseSprites in a different folder. So it will do it for like 95% of the files but the other 5% you’d have to move yourself

But KIF already comes preloaded if you read their guides for it

No there isn’t a setting for that. This game is designed the other way around. It applies custom sprites first and then the OG sprites if it can’t find them. You could technically delete all custom sprites but it isn’t recommended
