To download all at once, use the sprite installer. That depends on your internet. It is 2gb and 118k files for all custom sprites

The game says you are missing them. So unless you are opening the game from the wrong game folder, it says they are not there

If you guys link your game folder to the New Installer, it will also identify which sprites you are missing.

Hey, I downloaded the game from a fake website (pokemoninfinitefusion .net (the one that shows up as the first option in google). Before downloading it, I checked VirusTotal and it said it was clean, and I scanned with MalwareBytes as well after the download. Once I opened the game and got a message saying "There's no official website for Pokemon Infinite Fusions" I immediately looked into it and deleted all of the files, scanned again (MalwareBytes still says I'm clean), but I'm still not sure if there's something or not because I'm paranoid xd. I thought you guys would know more about this fake download. Am I good?

Hey @sage remnant! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Sprites are Question Marks or timing out?
Reset your sprite pull (you have to be connected to the internet):

1. Turn off Download Sprites option in the setting inside the game. Like where your game volume is. This is the 4th option
2. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
3. Go back to Settings.
4. Turn option back on.

I would recommend after doing this save your game, completely close the game and reopen and try again.

I would suggest delete q4wine and reinstalling it. It should open on Steam deck with no other requirements

This is really more of a question than a problem. Ran into my first experience with the Question Mark sprite today. I did some discord searching and tried to do the download sprites on -> off -> on thing, but no change when I check the pokedex for that fusion. After going to fusiondex and seeing what it's supposed to look like, I see that not only is the pokemon I was looking for (Feeaura) getting returning a Question Mark on the website itself, but several other sprites are having the same thing. What does this mean?

It isn’t a common issue from what I am aware of. Had many playthroughs and never crashed due to it but at least saving before any rival battles seem to be he safest option

yeah I've been saving before trainer battles, and at least in the rando run I started it's been consistent. Did not realize the issue was inconsistent to reproduce, actually. I wonder why it's reliable in my current run and if there's something in that save data that might help with a repro and a fix

I've just been mucking about with insane randomizers anyway, so if I end up having to restart a run eh, so it goes

It might be more noticeable in randomized runs just due to the move being more available since the trainers in a regular run don’t have those moves in a lot of battles.

I'm not that familiar with the RPG maker architecture, is the whole game interpreted ruby or is there a compiled layer the Ruby scripts are running on top of? nah, I've worked on projects like this before, it's really a matter of passion and the warm feeling of people enjoying your game

The game runs off of RPG Maker, but also uses the Pokemon essentials framework, and then anything else built with it with this game. So it is possible to make those moves not do anything. But we don’t troubleshoot modified files in case you break the game making code changes 🙂

Yeah if it makes you feel better, most people that have gotten anything from the site, were good after deleting the game folder from their machine.

I had a handful of people check in and they let me know their anti virus didn't return anything else afterwards. We are trying to combat that site as much as we can, but it is hard when it is a fan made game

Hey @weak dune! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

So I've been trying to change the custom sprite for a Houndoom/Haxorus but for whatever reason despite me changing the custom battler manually it doesn't change to the sprite I want. It just lkeeps defaulting back even if I delete the sprite and turn off download missing sprites. Does anyone know what's going on?

Hey. Just downloaded the game files. Extracted. Launched it up with JoiPlay. I went ahead and downloaded the updated graphic spirites. Extracted them into the graphics folder.

My question is, when I launch the game up, is it supposed to ask you to install the updated sprites or does it sometimes automatically apply? Because it didn't ask me to update/install the new sprites when I launched the game.

when you install the sprites correctly, you should be in black screen for a while because it needs to sort them into the correct folders.

It will also mention that it recognized you imported thousands and thousands of sprites

so by that info, sounds like you might have placed them in the wrong folder

Thank you @blazing python I believewhat i had done as moved the whole sprites file into the custom battlers folder and then tried extracting into the same folder or something weird. I just deleted what was in my custom battlers folder from the move/extraction and tried again. Worked out great 👍

This is due to save file incompatibility. You need to:

1. open your game folder
2. Open the shortcut named SaveFile
3. That takes you to the Save folder
4. Delete all the items in here. Don't delete the folder, just all the items and try opening the game again

Hey y'all, hopefully this is a common issue. Freshly installed 6.0.2 on android and this message appears between the intro cutscene playing and the start menu appearing. I've played previous versions fine, made sure joiplay is updated too.

Hey @brave wharf! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

It happens from time to time randomly. sometimes it just fixes itself if you fuse some new together and then go back but atm i think i have a bugged gengar that do not want to get levels

i think what you are talking about is how the level curve was changed on most mons, it inadvertently affected fused mons

so sometimes when you fuse 2 mons they will gain levels/xp

and then if you unfuse them the two mons will have gained some of those levels/xp

there's no current fix to that, as it is part of the new system that was added in for 6.0, people have already noted and I think reported the weirdness of mons gaining levels via fusing/unfusing

Something is clearly going wrong in you following the video, since you for some reason downloaded files which are nowhere in the video.
Take your time, watch it carefully and follow every step exactly. so even the first step of downloading files. dont go skipping parts of the video or googling stuff yourself

Hey @valid cobalt! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

The default save for the extract was my onedrive. I made sure to extract locally and then when I ran the install it worked. I also unlinked my onedrive to turn off the autobackup

You are good. You have the old version of the installer, that is why you get that error, but the error doesn’t prevent the update from happening. It is trying to find a file we don’t use anymore
