You will not lose any data. But there are definitely bugs that were fixed. One notable one is not being able to find the roaming raikou/suicune fusion as the tracker will not display the correct location.

Hey @unique gate! Are you having trouble starting the game? Here are a few common errors you might be experiencing:

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

You might be also trying to open the game from a game folder that is not the new version on a save file on the latest version. the launcher doesn’t install that folder you are opening it from. Idk why you opening a 5.1.3.3 folder

Just cause it is off now, doesn’t mean it wasn’t on at some point. Or if you have randomized gym trainers they randomize the tms you get also. Or randomized items settings also. The game doesn’t randomize on its own

2. Open the shortcut named SaveFile
3. That takes you to the Save folder
4. Delete all the items in here. Don't delete the folder, just all the items and try opening the game again

If you've played an old version at one point, the save data still exists so you need to clear out the items in that folder

The popup if you click Download will take you to the website where to download it from. Download the RPG Maker XP file but don't extract. Just download.

Reopen the game on JoiPlay and select the "Choose" button this time. Select the RPG Maker XP file and it should work.

Preloaded doesn't work out of the box. you need to use the sprite installer to install the sprites to make it work or open Game.exe since that doesn't require setup to play.

Yes you can get a version of 6.0 vs 6.0.5, but will the save file be compatible? That isn't 100% because if the code change added or references something in 6.0.5 that doesn't exist in 6.0 then it will crash

So i downloaded the game on mobile and i followed the guide in the downloads section, but my controls are a bit odd, left and right is inverted and there is no "back" button to delete text, had a look in JOIplays settings but couldnt see anything in there

Hey @vagrant hinge! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Yeah that is how I used to save sprites and it worked. Discord must have changed something cause the browser url is different for the sprites depending how you open/save the file too

Hey @scarlet orchid! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Hey @somber dove! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Hey @gray cypress! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

I believe you have to resize the game through the in game options and not from using your mouse to drag it larger if you are getting black screen

Read our android guide please. You do not need the latest version of joiplay. You need a SPECIFIC version of joiplay.

Additionally, you need to follow the guide to the very end (which is optimising your maps)
