you have to setup your buttons correctly, its not always what it seems like on screen.

you basically need to figure out which buttons is "select/enter/action/confirm" and then figure out which button is "back". if i remember correctly, select is different from confirm when using joiplay.

i ended up making a name with a bunch of spaces at the end by the time i figured out how to "confirm" my name on mobile,

Can't check the exact option name right now, but it will place a keyboard in game (like the old pokemon games) instead of using your phone keyboard. That will fix your issue.

Hey @thin stone! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

I' have an Android, mobile and have been stuck on Step 3 for quite a while. I believe I followed as instructed but my "Extract to-" location was in data rather than my download folder. I can't access it via My Files nor does RAR seem to work at locating it after I've closed it out.

For RAR, when I select the data folder where it was located before closing the app, nothing shows up. If I try history which is accessible on the left side bar, it shoots an error that it can't be located and the "folder" seemingly vanishes.

My Files which is my phone's default browsing app does something similar but is more clear. The issue is I don't have access to a PC and I never ran into this issue on my last phone. Any alternatives or suggestions?

For Infinite Fusion I don't have this issue, sorry, I wasn't clear. My issue is with PIFAndroidPlugins. I downloaded the file, tapped on the pop-up once done, directly launched to RAR, extracted it to the file folder of the same name. I then copied the video by going to my My Files but realized the file wasn't in my Downloads Folder. On RAR it says /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.rarlab.rar/files/_rartemp_open_1705607450698. At this point I have the Zip file and the unzipped in a folder underneath Data.

On RAR, once I get to the Data folder it is completely blank. It came up blank once I closed all my tabs and relaunched to double check since I had a lot of apps open from the guide.

My Files does similarly, but once I get to Data, it says I cannot access the folder for security or privacy reasons and must use a PC to continue; Which I don't have access to. Essentially I have double the files on my phone, the initial download that is locked somewhere in my Data Folder and an accessible one I directly moved to my download folder. Sorry if this isn't making much sense, I've never had this issue before getting any APKs, it always until now defaulted to the Download Folder. 🥲 😅

Yes, but I have double the files on my phone. The initial install of the PIF is the 1st image as well as me losing PIF after switching to another tab to look at the guide and My File to locate the new folder so I can install the 2 APKs.

Image 2 and 3 are the reinstall of PIF and manually relocating it. Infinite Fusion extracted to my downloads without me manually having to relocate it.

I could access InfiniteFusion6.0.5.rar through "My Files" but all traces that were in my data folder are gone. It hasn't been deleted, I just no longer have whatever allowed me to bypass my phone's security to temporarily access my Data folder. It's inaccessible to me entirely.

2nd Install
Internal Storage/Download/PIFAndroidPlugins "Extract to-" Folder & InfiniteFusion6.0.5.rar

I reinstalled the PIFAndroidPlugins.rar hoping it would ask to overwrite the old one but it didn't. With this 2nd copy, I selected "Ask before Overwrite," when Extracting to a new folder under the same name yet I never got a prompt. When it was done, I manually relocated it to my Downloads folder where InfiniteFusion6.0.5.rar went on its own; Now that I knew switching apps would make me lose access to the Data Folder. That's what you're seeing in the last image.

Welcome to Android 11. This is, unfortunately, a design decision that Google made in the name of privacy. Apps can no longer access the Android/data or Android/obb folders. This affects Android 11 and higher.

Seems like you need to google/research how to work with the Android data folder. I don't have an android, so I cannot help further. My knowledge is strictly limited to the game files and installation. And since this game is not developed for Android, I don't have much capacity to help beyond that

Hey @pulsar oar! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Hi. I played on version 5.1 and wanted to upload the game to the most recent version. Alternate launcher didn't work, so figured I could download the game again and import my old save files to the new version or just start a new save.

Turns out, I can't install the game. I get the 5th error described on the "Common Issue and Fixes" of the FAQs document: "The system cannot find the path specified".

Thing is, I extracted the .zip file. And installed it with admin permission, but I get the error even tho my file looks exactly like the fix print. Can anyone help me? Am I missing something obvious?

You can’t run it with admin or else you get the message. Extract the zip, move the InfiniteFusion folder to your desktop, and just double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat and let me know if you get an error with that

Also if you on the same PC as when you played 5.1, you don’t transfer anything for your save. Your save is in a different folder entirely so any new installation will reuse your Save

Could the issue be that I manually downloaded the sprites before using the installer, and then the installer checked for the sprites that were already installed, which is not how it was meant to be used. My only issue is that the preloaded version of the game doesn't recognise the sprites in the sprite folder for some reason. would manually deleting the CustomBattlers folder and then using the installer to download everything help? Or is it a game thing?

yeah if you delete the CustomBattlers and Battlers folder yourself, it should work because the installer reinstalls both those folders

it is because you need the preloaded sprites. The customBaseSprites folder has like almost 4k images

you need them all

after it generates that error, it does download the sprites for you, but you would need it to break 4k times to get all the sprites lol

yeah you didnt move them to the right folder for sure or used the wrong zip. The zip is named UpdatesSprites.zip

If you moved them correctly yourself:

• \Graphics\CustomBattlers\indexed would have 506 folders in it
• \Graphics\CustomBattlers\customBaseSprites would have 3764 images in it

1. Troubleshoot with the Installer. Would help us fix the tool if there is an issue.
2. Download UpdatesSprites.zip, move it to the right folders
3. Download the complete game and sprites setup for you and call it a day

Alright, the problem was the lack of images in customBaseSprites. I removed both folders and ran the installer to download only the base images, then I put back the CustomBattlers folder and everything works.

if it really did take 44 hours, you are going to be on that black screen for a LONG time. Once you moved the sprites into the CustomBattlers folder, the game then needs time to sort those files into the appropriate folders. This depends heavily depends on your computer

sprites improve your performance, not hinder it. You just gave the game about 100k sprites for it to sort and create folders for, so of course set up time is going to a long time especially on a mobile device that isn't meant to deal with that many files

Yeah I never recommend doing sprite packs on mobile unless you can do it on an SD card from your PC

From personal experience: Installing the sprite pack in batches helps a ton on mobile, lets say 2k sprites per action.
But yeah, android HATES moving huge loads of small files at once, something to do with their temp storage method.

Hey ya'll, I think i accidenally softlocked myself? I did a bit too much exploring and somehow ended up defeating team rocket at Mt. Ember BEFORE beating blaine or even interacting with the sailor. Then, after I beat Giovanni, the sailor gave me his pass but then it immediately triggered the cutscene where he loses his ship? So now I have a pass in my backpack but cinnabar island's gym is still locked and the boat is gone... pls help :C

The only thing you lost out on is getting deoxys

You need that boat to get there to do that quest

You can still get a fusion of it from wonder trade or the black market and unfuse it in the post game

This error message seems to indicate a connectivity problem.
Might be your internet being unstable.
Might be antivirus blocking it.
Might be that you are using proxy to access it, which github does not like.

This is normal, it is indexing the sprites. Don't mess with the game window. Just boot it up and leave it alone to load and it'll work.

Yes, from PC to phone. Just open the infinite fusion folder and go to the folder called saves, go in and you can copy it into your InfiniteFusion directory on your phone.

From phone to PC, go inside the infinite fusion directory, your save file should be right there inside it, copy it to your PC and put it inside the saves folder inside your infinite fusion folder.

Also. If you have an underscore in the save file name remove it.

It should be name like File A.rxdata not File_A.rxdata

I'm having issues with the 'game-preloaded' launcher since updating, it gets through the opening animation and then closes and displays an error when attempting to load the title screen? I can post a screenshot of the error window if it helps

It seems like the issue is caused by a missing file, but the file listed has been different every time; and when I then go and look, the file in question is always there

I've tried running the updater again a couple times but it didn't fix anything, the regular version works just fine but I would ideally like to play without long black screens, and stutters/freezes whenever I move a page (like in the Pokemon Storage Boxes for example)

I type it into the file name search and it says

you have to replace YOURNAME with the name of your computer 😆

open a folder on your computer and click in the empty space to the right

it will say C:\Users\ then whatever your name is after

hey i tried installing the game a few times and when the bar gets to half an error pops up and it stops
the error is "error downloading the game: an exception occured during a webclient request"
any ideas?

this is an internet connection on your end. Usually been from user's anti virus blocking the connection

Add the whole InfiniteFusionLauncher folder to your Anti Virus. Link

i disabled all anti virus stuff a long while ago

that is just 1 file. You have to add the whole folder

the dropdown has an option for folder you showed earlier
