2. If your game is in a OneDrive folder, turn it off. This game lags hard with OneDrive.
3. Best way to reduce lag is downloading sprites yourself. The more sprites you have, the less it needs to connect to the internet to download them.

• The optimized version of the game is "game-preloaded" but this requires you to download **ALL **the sprites from the pinned instructions on the top right of the tech support channel. Click the Shortcut -> #tech-support message

4. If the game is still slow after using game-preloaded, you need to make computer upgrades.

Hey @astral spade! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey @carmine oyster! Are you having trouble starting the game? Here are a few common errors you might be experiencing:

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Easiest way to fix is deleting the whole launcher folder and installing from scratch. Our other installation method is recommended over the launcher

They download as you encounter them. If you want to download the custom sprites up front you can though. This will make the performance better but not needed

hey I just updated my game to the most recent version, installed the latest sprite pack, and started a modern mode playthrough - and some of the base form pokemon (like this hoothoot) are missing sprites entirely. is this a known issue?

I'm playing on steam deck so I updated by downloading the 6.0.2 folder in the mobile section of #downloads , replaced my previous folder with it, installed the latest sprite pack as directed, and directed steam to the new folder and game.exe. apart from the missing sprites, the game seems to run perfectly fine so far. the update man was unable to fix the issue.

You can force a new sprite pull (you have to be connected to the internet):

1. Turn off Download Sprites option in setting inside the game. Like where your game volume is. This is the 4th option
2. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
3. Go back to Settings.
4. Turn option back on.

I would recommend after doing this save your close, completely close the game and reopen and try again.

Yeah if you using the launcher, click settings on the top right, then go to Troubleshooting. There is a checkbox to enable Preloaded or not

but you have to make sure to download the 2gb file of sprites or else you will get an error

Hey all, looking for some help. Trying to run the game on Steam Deck. Launching game.exe and game-default.exe with proton gets me to the new game screen. When clicking new game, I get an infinite black screen. If I launch the preloaded exe, I get an error that is something along the lines of sprite 83b being missing.

You should have used our guide to install Steam Deck, but you do have to wait a long time for the 1st time black screen. Can take 5-15 minutes

Our guide has the game files for all the sprites, so you wouldn't have gotten that sprite error

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Yeah, that is just an Internet issue. just gotta keep trying until it goes through or try restarting your computer or modem

no the launcher nor other installation methods install any pokemon sprites.
The game in general does install them as you encounter pokemon. So you don't need them, but if you install them yourself, you will get better in game performance

I looked it up more and I think you are right. If you have an example of what it looked like before and what it looks like now log a #1142871804269052004 for it. It would be a bug with the game not sprites cause sprites aren't stored separately it is a hue change

Hey there, decided to try and reinstall after it wouldn't launch after a long time on my Deck. Is there anything wrong with the Google drive link in the YouTube description? It'll download fully, but then says "failed" and the rar I get shows as corrupted on extraction. 3 separate downloads, but it could definitely just be bad luck.

yes you need wine and wineskin. This game needs the internet to play the game so it can download sprites of pokemon. The files I give for the alt installer contain all the sprites so you dont have to worry about anything. But with the launcher it would result in your erasing all the sprites to reinstall the launcher. Most of the performance issues are from downloading sprites and creating folders for them. So if you erase the sprites, it makes the game slower cause you gotta redownload them again
