I cant start the Launcher
I installed the Launcher setup that was not for Linux / Mac from the github link ( Pokemon.Infinite.Fusion.Laucher.Setup.exe ) than I started the setup and changed the Path for the installation to D:(Ordner) ( Ordner ) after that I also setup the Desktop link and to start the Launcher than I pressed on the finish button and after that the desktop Icon was there but the Launcher didnt start ater I tryed to start it over the Icon again nothing happend.
so what can I do to fix it.
PS. I also did the Launcher tech support advice.

So since last week, I've been having a ton of issues with the game. It used to work just fine, but as of last Wednesday, the game crashes so frequently it's become unplayable. It doesn't matter what I'm doing in game, it will suddenly just close the game, no error code or message or anything, and it seems to be random. I could be just walking in the overworld, and it even happened a few times before the start screen.
Having read some other messages in here, I saw it suggested that the Preloaded version might help with crashes on laptops and older PCs (My PC isn't all that old, but that could be part of the problem I don't know), so I downloaded the latest sprite pack, followed the instructions, and this error pops up after the nidorino/gengar intro screen. I've tried booting up the game a few times, and the file it shows is different every time. I've tried extracting and moving the sprite pack a second time and it still happens.
I checked the pinned messages as suggested previously and read the FAQ and if I'm honest, I can't make sense of it. I'm sorry if I'm just being dense, but it's just not clear to me what I can do to fix this issue, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Hey @gusty hemlock! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

the error message suggest that you installed the wrong sprites. the sprites are from THIS channel not #downloads

I would suggest you reinstall fresh since those crashes without an error don't seem normal again. I would delete your folder and start over using these instructions:

1. Windows + MAC: Installing with the Alt Installer if Above doesn't work Click Link -> #tech-support message

2. Install **SPRITES ** for **Preloaded ** Click Link -> #tech-support message

the error is saying you don't have the sprites needed for the preloaded game. the sprites in #downloads are just custom sprites. You need more than that to play the preloaded game. In this channel it has the single .zip file that contains everything you need (it also includes the custom)

1. Turn off Download Sprites option in setting inside the game. Like where your game volume is. This is the 4th option
2. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
3. Go back to Settings.
4. Turn option back on.

that is the error you get when you don't extract or you try running it in admin mode. dont run in admin

make sure to extract the folder and move InfiniteFusion folder to desktop

Hey @magic crest! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

yeah the audio files are only installed when installing the game. If for whatever reason, one of your audio files don't work/corrupt you have to reinstall. But also be aware there are some areas in the game where audio is not working like when riding a bike and on cycle road

So I did a fresh reinstall, and the regular game kept crashing still, so I'm going to chalk that up to a PC issue. Followed the directions for using Preloaded, and the game is working now, however, fused pokemon have no.. I guess they'd be called mini-sprites? These screenshots show my current party, and one of my boxes which has both fused and non-fused pokemon in. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hi there, I have a question. Everytime I go into a house or cave of something similar, I got a really long loading screen. Same for opening my pokemon party. This is kinda annoying and I really want to play the game because I have seen so much hype. Can someone explaine why this is happening? Hey @noble mist! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Just for background, the performance of the Game depends on your pc and internet. Most Laptops are struggling because of the 6.x update. Old computers struggle too. The only way around it is using "game-preloaded" but this requires you to download all the sprites yourself from this channel's pinned message. Not #downloads those are just custom sprites, not the ones you need

if you are using the normal game, it will get faster as you play cause it downloads the sprites as you encounter the pokemon

I think you just need to reset the sprite pull as long as you are connected to the internet

1. Turn off Download Sprites option in setting inside the game.
2. Leave the menu (if you don't, this won't work).
3. Go back to Settings.
4. Turn option back on.

So I've been experiencing a consistent five second hang on a black screen every time the game has to load a map in the overworld, even after maxing turbo, tweaking other settings, and launching it through RPG Maker XP itself. Before I did those things it was closer to 10-15 second hangs.

The alternate launcher instantly crashes when I try to run it, so that's a non-starter. Outside of these huge lagspikes when loading the overworld the game runs flawlessly. I'm on 6.0.4.

Does anyone else experience anything like this, or have suggestions on how to reduce the hang time further? It's good enough for a single player run but I'd been hoping to stream it and having that after every battle/warp is killer lol

Also if you have OneDrive one, turn it off, it lags the game hard. The only way to optimize is if you use "game-preloaded" but this requires you to download all the sprites yourself from this channel's pinned message. Not #downloads those are just custom sprites, not the ones you need

Hopefully quick question, I'm getting the "No such file or directory" error when trying to run the preloaded version. I have downloaded the latest sprite pack and moved the CustomBattlers folder over to the location specified in the instructions, where it presumably merged with the pre-existing folder. In addition, I also can see the file it seems to be looking for in the location it seems to want. See attached screenshot. Any idea what might be going on there?

you need to install it on the desktop

Hi! I downloaded the 1.6.4 release of the IF launcher, but am unable to open it after it installs. I've tried both running it as an admin and regularly, and I've also tried opening it using the prompt at the end of installation and with just the shortcut. speaking of moving pokemon around, Ive noticed it might have (Maybe slightly) Something to do with loading the sprites/info when you hover over the pokemon (This is exceptionally Prevelant when a sprite needs to be downloaded that hasnt been downloaded already) and Persists until you restart the game, in which that specific pokemon will now stop slowing the game down upon putting your cursor over it. (This is not a complaint, just something i have noticed about the game))

I personally just use game.exe with download sprites turned on on my steam deck, and it is just fine because as I mentioned all the sprites already downloaded. So whenever it makes a check to see if that Pokémon sprite is there or not it already confirms that it is.

Hey @rain stirrup! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

oh I see, yeah controllers for this game don't work well. If they do connect, you cannot remap the keybindings for controller. It is whatever buttons are assigned to them if it does connect

That is odd, I am not sure why it wouldn't be pulling in the tilesets. There is a patch you can try applying to fix tilesets, but I am not sure if it will work or not

@blazing python I see darn. Because to let you know everything it's working well the only bug issue I found it's only on route 4 cerulean city. And well it's a theory but to let you know it started this issue when I download Full Sprite pack 1-95 (October 2023) to merge on CustomBattlers. (and incase yes I did press button to apply all to to replace the same png images.)

That sprite pack only has custom sprites anyways. If you truly wanted the full sprite pack for the game it is UpdatesSprites.zip from this channel. But these are just Pokémon sprites no sprites from tiles in the game.

Hey @sinful musk! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Yeah that was a mistake. You need those tools to continue to get the game to update. The fix is only in the newer version of the game

After you imported the sprites did you open the regular game and selected the option to replace all sprites from the in game menu?

yes when it launched it prompted me to replace ~100k sprites and i did

Then it sounds like you need to look at making upgrades on your computer. You have the optimized version with all the sprites. There aren’t only more optimizations the game can make

You don’t need to download these if you are playing the normal game as it states there. The game already downloads these are you encounter Pokemon

i can't imagine it's my computer, it should be more than capable lol

it's like a ~30 second wait every time i go to the section of the pokedex to change sprites, and i have to wait again every time i go up/down in that menu

The launcher is irrelevant. It installs the same files you are using. I’m saying if you are playing the game with “game, or “game-default”, the sprite packs already get downloaded automatically

If you want to download the small one, then it is the 40 mb oct one

You have to install joiplay and rpmaker plugins. The game isn’t developed for Android so you have to use those workarounds to play

i did a complete clean reinstall via the method in the pins and i still get a long load time between each pokedex entry
