Hey @hushed berry! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Hi! I just downloaded the game and am trying to play it on PC with a third party controller (a controller that I think has default xbox controller bindings but I could be wrong about that). I'm trying to play this game with the controls that I'm used to on nintendo consoles but the controls are different-- a is where I'm used to b being and x is where I'm used to y being. The key bindings window that appears when I click 'F1' doesn't register the input of those buttons on the right side for some reason (a,b,x,y) but does register my joystick inputs and the game itself registers my a,b,x,y inputs. I tried using a controller remapper (JoyToKey) to remap those controller buttons to the associated keyboard buttons that the game uses but have also had no luck with that. I'm at a loss. Does anyone know of any fixes/ways to resolve this issue?

I followed the second pin and have the alternate launcher all set up and working. however, though I was now able to rebind my controller inputs, now I am facing the opposite issue of what I previously was facing in that though the remapper is registering the inputs, the game itself is no longer. The game is not even registering the keyboard alternatives to the controller inputs for the a,b,x,y buttons

If the zip contains a folder named Graphics, merge it with the Graphics folder of your game install.
If it only contains CustomBattlers, that goes inside Graphics.

The error message you got shows a missing file. You want to put the folders such that this file isn't missing anymore.

5.1.2, I did some research and was talking with someone here

updating from 5.1.2 to the latest version, I did it in an improper order and deleted my save. This was caused by adding it as a steam game, on a steam deck, and doing it in improper order.

By putting in the new game as a managed steam game, and removing the old one as a steam game, it removed my old save as it's stored in the emulated windows filestructure.

I recovered an old save, so it's time to start from pewter city again.

So in short, if you play on steam deck, make sure to back up your saves somewhere just in case.

Hey @tulip vine! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

It's binary data, so even with a hex editor, I doubt it would make sense, or that RPG Maker would recognize it

The most probably reason would be an external device that has taken slot 0 on your PC, like a Razer headset for example.

The slot is giving once Windows starts. In your case, you need to unplug all external devices, restart windows, plug the keyboard, then the joypad, then the mouse, then the headset.

for the full sprite pack, download it, extract it, open the folder and grab only the custom battlers folder, plop that into your graphics folder inside your infinite fusion stuff

So it makes sense to me that 4.9 and 5.0 could have the same story and 5.1 is what changed it
