hi, I have done what you mention and it has worked for me only if I close the game with the Sprite download options activated and then I open it again and deactivate them, but only the Pokemon Sprites that I had already seen are updated, if a merged pokemon appears new I don't see the Sprite u.u. The game mentions that there is a new version, will it be better if I update it or is it more appropriate to continue with an older version? Thanks for the help

Hey @midnight oyster! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

When you get the "Data" error (because of external disk), you have to right click install_update.bat, property, security, users (unauthenticated), "edit", allow writing, confirm then apply.

Whenever I load into a room, the only sprites that appear are the player character, and npc's (humans and mons), which makes navigating rooms a nightmare because everything that's not either of those things is just pure darkness while still having their collision. Exiting to the main menu and reopening the save file does temporarily fix it, but as soon as you leave the room the same problem occurs, and going back to the room you were in also shows that the overworld background and any props are missing again.

I used the Global. The two pokemon Im seeing are Bulbasaur and Parasect. Sorry for these dumb questions, my first time with anything thats not an official rom haha

Yeah, that's what global setting does. The way that randomizer works is that every time you would normally encounter a pokemon, you'll instead encounter another pokemon.
So if you would normally encounter a ratatta and get a pidgey, then every rattata encounter will be a pidgey.
If you change from the global setting to area, then these replacement mons will differ depensing on the route and time of day.

Hey @lilac imp! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.
