There is something going on with user folder permissions in a bad way. As if the windows user who created that foldsr restricted rights and you're not that user.

Possibly happens with certain anti viruses or if you're device is managed by an organization like school or work

I would suggest a fresh install to a different folder. You could completely bypass it by trying a fresh install to a new folder in AppData/Roaming, but that's dumb. Would be better for you to identify and fix why your windows is behaving that way

Or go to properties of the existing folder and give 'everyone' all rights and try it again

Okay i'm getting real tired of this... every time I open the game I get that error message that is pinned. I already did the exact steps that are described, but it seems to just. Stop working after every session, even after i 'fix' it. Do I really have to redo that entire process every time I want to play the game or is there something I did wrong because it's seriously infuriating.

Can you go into Graphics/Battlers/indexed/1/ and check what's there? There should be about 420 sprites if they're in the right place. Or you could use Game.exe instead of AlternateLauncher.exe, and the game will download the sprites as needed from the internet.

The difference is that, when you are connected to the Internet, you can use the Automatic Sprite download option to get the sprites.

I managed to get an older version (4.x, I think) working through Lutris on Pop_OS! a while back, but I've recently reinstalled my OS, so I've been trying to set it up again. I've tried with both the zip containing the installer files, and the mobile zip containing the full download. i added the sprite pack to the game how the instruction told me to and it seems it worked for the most part , but i noticed a fair amount of sprites still had the lower quality versions where its just the pokemons face pasted onto the others, and every time i load the game it imports more spirtes every time, which i assume just means it can only import somany sprites at a time. is there a way to just do them all at once or do i have to reload the game a bunch of times?

Encounters have a separate .dat for the randomizer values but there's nothing marked that way for items

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.

Hey @lean sky! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Can’t seem to find anyone else with this specific issue, currently playing on Steam Deck and don’t have access to a desktop or pc of any kind. I had just beaten the Elite 4 and put the deck in rest mode. When I picked it back up the audio was glitchy. That’s been a recurring issue with the deck so I just reset the game and that fixes it. Now, the game won’t load at all past the main menu no matter what. It’s running 5.2.1 and I know there is an update available but again no pc to easily do it, if that even is the solution. I don’t know why these issues started cause I never had any problems before this and didn’t change any settings. If anyone knows anything that could help get the game running again I’d really appreciate it!

First thing is try is moving or deleting that file.

Same computer, nothing changed beyond how far I had progressed in the game. I had repeated issues with sprites not loading, this would fix itself after a restart with the program seemingly downloading them while it was starting itself up but not while it was running. It worked fine for the first 19 hours however, I oculdn't have gotten that far with the game looking the way it does now.

Hey @arctic wasp! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

If yes, it means that you have not extracted the game archive completely
It's best to use ZArchiver

You don't update. You delete your old game and install the new version from scratch. Your save will still be there.

well right now everytime i make a new fusion, it shows a blank sprite and icon, then I restart the game and there's a prompt the replace sprites which causes the sprites to show up

Go to options. Turn "download sprites" off. Leave the menu. Go back. Turn it back on.

Hey @wary spade! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

hi there c: is there a reason why my game seems to lag when it encounters fusions without custom sprites only? because when it encounters fusions that have custom sprites it doesn't lag at all

I've installed the game a few times, download the sprites-pack a few times. but all fusions pokemons still have no sprite for me. Only the 420 non-fusioned pokemons actually have a sprite. How do I fix this?
