Hey @small talon! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

I had this exactly once. People with bad network connections get it a lot more.
Go to the Pokedex entry for that one and go to sprites. Change/set a sprite. Should fix it

Hello, i have a big problem with the game. Every time the game has to show a new pokemon or trainer sprite, it takes several minutes to load it (it even happens during the opening screen). I tried the alt launcher but it crash right away. I even added the custom sprites folder but it changed nothing. The game since to take a lot of time to launch too, but i don't know if it's related. Any idea how to solve that problem ? 🙂

Hey @ashen heart! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

I would apply the "download sprites from the internet" then when I shut down the game and log in, the setting is automatically off. Well it's how the game uses your resources. The normal launcher isn't such a burden on your computer. The alternate launcher makes your computer load a lot more data so if it has to do anything extra it throws a fit

Don't do that

The instructions clearly say to NOT UPDATE an older version

Start fresh, from a new folder, unzip there, then run the batch file

Also, your save in 4.9 is too old, it probably won't be compatible with the new version

I think the oldest that is compatible is like 5.1

For ur first problem, randomizers can lose their encounters if u update or reinstall the game because the file that stores ur randomized encounters gets overwritten/replaced by a blank copy

If ur not getting sprites while download sprites is turned on, I have some guesses what could be happening but I don't really know. The simplest solution would be to take the sprites.zip from the google drive link in the first pin of this channel and merge its graphics folder with ur game's

That will give u all the autogenerated sprites and most of the custom sprites currently available, as well as the proper file structure to support them

If ur PC is on the lower end it might impact performance, but it will also enable u to use the alternate launcher which helps a bit with performance

When I downloaded them and opened the folder they don't have any of the files and when i drag over the files it's not replacing anything it's just adding the folder into the graphics folder that's already in the game

When u extract the Sprites.zip, u will have a Sprites folder. Inside the Sprites folder is a Graphics folder with 2 subfolders, Battlers and CustomBattlers. These correspond to the folders in ur own Graphics folder where sprites are stored

If u didn't properly merge any of those folders with the corresponding folders in ur game files, then nothing will happen

When u drag and drop a file over a folder, it places that file inside the folder, so now u have nested ur Graphics folders. In order to merge, u want to drop that Graphics folder in the same folder that ur Graphics folder is in, which u do by dragging it to any empty space in that folder and then releasing

Using the alternate launcher will reduce in-game load times by preloading them on startup, if u want to try that out u can follow instructions from the first pin of this channel

@pearl fern we get this question a lot so at some point u may want to update the sprite pack instructions or smth

If uve installed the game using the installer .bat or .sh files, then ur game doesn't come with a CustomBattlers folder, and therefore doesn't have an indexed folder. The game will create individual indexed folders whenever it has to download a specific sprite for that Pokemon, but u can't import sprites urself without those folders already being there

This means that unless uve either installed manually using the mobile .zip instead, which comes with a pre-constructed indexed folder, or uve already encountered at least 1 fusion with each Pokemon as the head, the sprite pack cannot be completely installed

It also appears that if u have sprites loose in ur CustomBattlers folder that haven't been indexed yet, it prevents the download sprites feature from recognizing that it needs to download a new sprite or create that indexed folder, so an incomplete import blocks the game from displaying sprites for new fusions

The simplest solution for users would be if the sprite pack came with an indexed folder itself, even if the subfolders are empty and sprites haven't yet been sorted into it, but idk if that would somehow mess with the current download function

Hello. I'm trying to assist someone in getting Infinite Fusion working, but their computer has some... Interesting quirks. For one, we had to manually create some folders within the game files because they did not appear to exist after they ran the installer and booted the game the first time. They're now on the very last step of getting the sprite pack installed, but they are now getting an error I cannot make heads or tails of it. Anyone willing to puzzle through this with me?

They get an error saying they do not have enough sprites each time they launch the game, even after the game checks for and indexes new sprites. It then asks them to connect to the internet to get the sprites, says it found 87k, and repeats next time they launch the game

This si after fully installing the games and situating the sprite pack's CustomBattlers inside the CustomBattlers folder. It also seems to be failing to index said sprites as would be normal.

You can try downloading the installer again and starting from scratch in a new folder (dw your save is stored elsewhere). If that doesn't work it's probably a bug with the online sprite credits again, in which case you can only wait.

Firstly, you'll need to compile armhf version ||(or maybe another one, idk precise spec of your device)|| of mkxp-z yourself, mkxp-z dev distributes only x86_64 variant
Secondly, I'm not sure that you have enough RAM for the game: ~1.4 GB is allocated at startup on Windows PC (x86_64) and Android device w/ JoiPlay (arm/arm64), and you have only 256 MB

edit: and it seems there will still be problems with SDL2

For me, that specific window of file explorer freezes, but everything else with my computer still functions

I'm using windows 10 itself to do the extraction (right click -> extract all and then the file path C:\InfiniteFusion). Are you using an external software?

For anyone who gets the "A graphics card that supports OpenGL 2.0 or later is required." error on a pc with a graphics card - try updating your intel drivers as well as the graphics card's drivers. This solved the issue for me!

In Windows, you can do this by going to the device manager, click display adaptors, then right click each option and update the drivers :)

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Hey @pale ridge! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable.

Hey @frigid path! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey @slate warren! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Every time I open the game, it keeps importing a couple hundred sprites, sometimes up to a thousand or so. I downloaded the full sprite pack and everything, but I think it's indexing all the sprites slowly. How do I make it import everything at once?
