Hey @vestal radish! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

That one makes you install QWine but it does work. The guide in the second pinned post you don't have to install anything.

Yeah I wasn't sure what the plan is for the game. If the game is going to update through Git, then it would need the packages to do a git pull or switch branch to the latest version. But if users just want a fully installed folder and just open Game.exe then yes you don't need to install anything and just open the game. In the video I offered that option as well so users can skip to the end and open the game

Yup it is just wherever you downloaded the files to begin with. You can always redownload and open again if you can't find. But the .exe is in that same folder

I ran from a trainer battle on route 15 by mistake, then got tp'ed back to johto. When i went to go fly, no red box in the middle, and no ability to click on anything.

Hey there, when i try to play the game, it lags and freeze everytime i run, enter or leave a place. The update guy changed nothing to it, even after the fix the game button.
i was told to dl the latest graphics and use the alternative laucher to make it work, so i dl the graphics, but when i tried to use the alternative laucher, it did not work and it was just a black screen. I was told that the assets were just loading up so i waited for like 10 minutes and still no evolution, so i'm asking here.
I just don't know why isn't the game working on my computer bcs when i tried to dl it with some friends, they had no issues of any kind, whereas i was playing a power point game.
Do you have any idea of how i could solve my lagging issues ?

There was an update to the game and what I mentioned prior seems to be correct. So if you installed the game completely using Wine, all you have to do now is just reopen the batch file and the game will update without even redownloading any files. If a user just downloaded the game entirely, they now have to find someone to upload the new version of the game entirely to open the Game.exe from 😅

Hey @delicate minnow! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable.

kind of a noob question, but i saw somewhere that i need to download all the alternate sprites? for example i want to change my ttar/gengar to the cooler sprite in the pokedex but it isnt there. where can I download these?

In my experience as a player, the alternate launcher has made loading times much faster. If you’re using a laptop the alt launcher could help
