Hey @sterile pivot! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hello, I'm part of the common people who ask very probably silly questions.
I've been playing the game for a few days, I was at the Celadon arena with the Silph co. taken by team rocket.
And then suddenly, bugs pop up like that, for no good reason. I didn't touch the data, I didn't do anything special... except play.
So the bugs are in the photos.

So that's my first game.
I was on the dynamics version. I deleted my game, started another one...still bugs. My PC even half-crashed.

So I uninstalled, put on the preloaded version, played a new game...still bugs!
I deleted all my saves, made another one....and still bugs.
I have the most recent version, of course.

so i saw the error that you had going on via another post, however i must say that the way i fixed it was that I made sure that i had the lastest version and i am using the preloaded version of the game. The error that i had was exactly the same and come to find out it was because i was using an older version of the game. As far as saving you save game i wouldn't know if you can or not. I just know that i had to dive deeper into my computer files to delete the actual save files cause i was just deleting the shortcut that is created in the game folder.

Hey @atomic garden! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Welp, my original crashing issue is still happening. I'll either enter a battle or a new pokemon is sent out in a battle, and everything freezes. The only way I have found to get it unfrozen is by completely closing the game, which usually gives me an error saying that the RGSS script seems to be stuck and that the game will force quit. That ones new to me, so I'm guessing here. How much memory is being used on your machine? How much do you have available to use? You can check through the task manager, in the performance tab.

Either you tried launching the game from inside the zip file, which you'd need to extract the files in this case, or you moved the game executable (Ex. "Pokemon Infinite Fusion.exe") outside the game directory and tried running it.

As long as windows recognizes the controller or a 3rd party software is able to recognize it and convert the inputs, then sure. The keybinding menu is a bit weird in the main launcher though.

The executable is built for the Windows operating system. It looks like you're on MAC. You'll need to use a 3rd party software as a compatibility layer, to virtualize it, or emulate it. You could also dual boot your computer to run Windows, but that may be tricky depending if it's using a M1 chip. You can try taking a look into WINE or Parallels.

If it's a black screen with some text, then you may be running, purely, the update, not the full game. If it's showing the fused pokemon, just press enter, space, or whatever. If it's neither of these, let me/us know.

I am using the dynamic version, and even though I downloaded the spritepack from the discord and merged the CustomBattlers folder as stated in the #downloads channel, but I am still stuck on the "Parsing custom sprites folder" step (it's been a good 15 minutes) and doesn't crash.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to download an older version of the game? Or the initial parsing just takes an absurd amount of time (I installed the game on a SSD).

Edit : and yes, I already looked for similar issues on the server but none of them solved my problem since they all talk about crash during the parsing. This message : #gameplay-help message doesn't help me since I followed the instructions mentioned in #downloads.

Edit in case you are getting the same error as me : just do not use the dynamic version and use the preloaded one. It worked for me. The Custom Sprites parsing still is long but it should not take longer than 10 minutes, just be patient.

Is there a possibility the key bindings menu could list the actual functions of the buttons instead of just the letters? From the wiki:

The letters in the config menu (accessed by pressing f1) do not represent controller buttons. C is confirm, B is both cancel and menu. A lets you move backpack items. Z brings up the quick menu for registered backpack items. L activates turbo. X and Y bring you to the top and bottom of menus respectively.
So for the next version, would it maybe make sense to replace "C" with "Confirm", "B" with "Back" (and possibly separate it from "menu"), "Z" with "Registered Item", and so on?

I just freshly downloaded the game after a couple months of not playing but I'm experiencing pretty much the exact same issue that kinda make me drop the game
After every battle and when leaving buildings the screen consistently stays black for 23-25 seconds before resuming the game
Other than that the game runs fine
Is this a known issue with a fix or is my laptop just not strong enough to play this game optimally?

I typed a whole thing out months ago, I didn’t want to confuse anyone but might as well copy and paste in case people search for help with Mac stuff

Posting this for anyone using a Mac: you have to use Wineskin if you haven’t already. Have been using Wine Stable as an app myself and got confused for a bit, here’s some steps on what I did:
Run Terminal. Google Homebrew and copy and paste the code on their site into Terminal. You need this so you can use the ‘brew’ command. Go through the steps your terminal gives you, this was the longest step mostly waiting and entering your password when prompted. When it’s finished it said something about making a PATH but I ignored that personally.
Google Wineskin and copy and paste the code from the github. Was pretty quick and simple.
Open Wineskin from your Applications. Click the + button to install a Wine engine, the top result should be fine. After installing, choose “Create Blank Wrapper”. Name it whatever you like and press ok. Then choose to View it in Finder
Open your new app, in that new menu select Install Software, then click on the Choose Setup Executable button. Should open a browser window where you can select files, so for here find where your Pokémon Infinite Fusions.exe is and select it. Wait for Wineskin as necessary
From there it’s every Windows installer you’ve ever seen, click Next and Agree or whatever over and over

so i copied the game from one of my gaming subfolders and put it to run directly from my desktop. It loads like 2ish seconds faster in between maps but I still don't get why it takes so long to load a map for me when my other friends who also play have no issue going in and out of the same zone as me like 10x in the amount of time it takes me to exit

Different pc hardware. Have the preloaded version. Use the alternate launcher.exe that comes with it. Turn off download sprites in the options menu. Turn on DNA icons in the options menu. See if any of that helps

looks like the only thing that worked was the alternate launcher, when I originally downloaded the game it didn't come with that but after downloading the preloaded version it loads so much better

Hello, can anyone help me? For me, the game keeps crashing since I updated to the latest version and i dont get a erorr report or anything it just closes the game instantly. Before that, everything worked fine. I have already deleted all files several times and tried both download versions of Infinite Fusion. I can't explain what the reason for the crashes are. They occur between 5 and 20 minutes of play and there is no particular trigger that I could detect.

You have to replace the old sprites with the new ones, make sure they have the exact same name so that when you put the new files in your pc asks you to replace the files.

Hey @lethal lintel! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

I was wondering (and have been told you're the person to ask) if it's possible for someone to use RPG Maker or another program to alter a local copy of the game to replace one pokemon species with another? I'm aware it'd probably be an endeavour to figure out, but I'm also not sure if it's possible due to RPG maker's game file encryption? No sweat either way, just wondering whether to go down that rabbit hole for fun sometime or if it's not doable. (ps: love the game, major props for creating something so fun and unique!)

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

The specific error or code would be helpful. Could it be some kind of anti-virus alert?

I always download using a download manager for a more compatible resume-ability if something interrupts my downloads. I personally recommend JD2 or IDM.

alright using jdownloader worked, however i noticed the "custom battlers" folder where the fusions are (?) is near empty. its the dynamic version so does it just download them or do i need to add the latest sprite pack into the folders?

Hey @hasty gulch! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!
