Hey @steady warren! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Then I don't have an exact solution. My best guess is, since the game has many individual files it could be struggling to load each one individual as result from either a slow or failing Harddrive or you have programs open that are reading/writing to the drive too frequently, hogging up the speed.

You most likely downloaded the "patch" file only. That is the not the full game. Either try "dynamic" or "preloaded".

@sonic bramble @errant edge Still can't find a specific cause as to why it's not utilizing your graphics drivers. While this issues has come up in the past, my best guess is Windows 11 updates and automatic driver installation is picking a driver that's not exactly suited for your card. I would suggest going to your card manufacture's website, nvidia or amd, and finding the driver specific for your card and operating system. If this works, you can look into disabling windows updates from installing drivers.

If the game gives an error with the Marshal version being 0.0, then the data is most likely nulled and there's nothing to recover. If it says it's too short, it can theoretically have some data recovered, but there's nothing available, to my knowledge, that can fix it.

Hey, so I've been having issues for both launchers of the preloaded versions. The main one dosen't display in the proper window size, has a lot of stuttering, and you can't unfuse Pokemon for it loads forever. The Alternate Launcher has extremely long loading times, and glitched sprites in multiple areas

so i'm not really sure which one i'm supposed to use.

I am having issues with tilesets not loading when moving between areas, such as moving between Route 1 and Secret Garden, or when entering Viridian Forest. I found a mention of a similar issue on the Wiki that says it could be caused from applying a patch, but I didn't apply the patch (infinitefusion_5.2.1-patch) as it had the same number as the full versions. It's probably because infinite fusion was made with a version of rpg maker that uses Windows 10/11 APIs/API functions. I know there were games I couldn't run just specific parts of (like menus) on windows 7 when I still had it, just because they used stuff microsoft developed for windows 10 compatibility and windows 7 just didn't have the hardware for it.

All the assets are there. People usually want to play the game with custom sprites only. Dynamic can't do that out of the box. You have to play it for a while to build your library of custom sprites. Or you download a sprite pack to fix the issue. But if you do that then you might as well have just downloaded the preloaded version

Since Dynamic requires an internet connection, this causes a lot of problems on its own

It slows down the game quite a bit. Turning off Download Sprites helps with load times. If you have the dynamic version you wouldn't want to do this

Hey @hard pier! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Hey @tall sky! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

either you are naming things wrong or something. If you take the graphics folder out of the infinite fusion directory it will not show anything. If it is still showing the same character sprite you are missing something

Fun fact, when using 7zip, WinRAR, or other 3rd party archive programs, drag and dropping the files puts them in Windows' temporary folder and then copies them to the destination folder. So, it takes an extra step and is most noticeable when the destination is on a different drive than the temporary directory. A workaround is using the 3rd party programs' "copy to" or "extract" features.
