It's likely that your computer is just having a bit of a rough time trying to load all the sprites. There are over 170k of them after all. The game tends to be notorious for taking a long time to load. So just start it and let it sit for as long as it takes to do what it needs to do.

Get the preloaded version and use the alternate launcher that comes with it. It'll take longer to load at the start, but will run better while playing. It loads as much as it can early on.

good morning, I've got a minor issue with my game running slower than normal after being updated to the most recent version. Everything is up-to-date, I've re-started my PC, and I've deleted and re-downloaded the 5.2 files & patch. I've checked if anything is running in the background that could cause this but I didn't see anything running that could. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I was messing with the FusionMoveTutor code to make triple fusions able to learn moves fusions of their materials can learn (eg. Hyperspace Fury can be learnt by Giratina fusions, I added something to make Paldiatina able to learn it as well), since triple fusions are not checked by is_fusion_of (because, as far as I can tell, they are not really fusions).
Somehow, it works for Paldiatina and nothing else (at least neither Zapmolcuno nor Rekyushiram).
I just wrote || @pokemon.isSpecies?(:PALDIATINA), with the species name replaced accordingly, so I don't understand the issue.

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hello, I downloaded the march 2023 sprite pack yesterday and followed the instructions to replace the custom battlers folder. It indexed most of the sprites just fine, but when I checked today I noticed there are around 30 sprites that weren't indexed properly. Some of these look like they are supposed to be alternate base sprites, for example there are 2 of Volcarona named 374a and 374b. So I understand why those weren't added, but then there are some like a Doublade/Roserade file named 328.352 that was also not indexed. When I check the indexed 328 folder for Doublade I have a sprite for 328.348 and 328.354, so I'm not sure why that one and the others like it weren't added to the index folder. If I manually add them to the index folder myself, will it show up in game properly? And for any of these that have the same file name as another sprite on the index folder, like I have a Metagross/Salamance sprite in the index folder and then one with the same name but is an alternate sprite that wasn't indexed, I just need to rename the file to have "a" or "b" at the end right and it should be added?

There were a few that had minor typos in the name. I fixed those and it added them in after start up, but the other ones that had no name issues still weren't added for some reason. I'll try manually adding them to see if that fixes it.

For anyone having no encounters, I found a way to fix it. Go to the Update Man and re-randomize encounters. This was tried after restoring the old version of the game, so it may not work if you're still on the newest version. Remember that you can redownload old versions from Mirror 1 in #downloads

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Preloaded has all the costum sprites already. There are a lot, so if your PC isn't very strong, I recommend dynamic. Choose preloaded if you don't want to be connected to the internet all the time

ive been encountering an issue where custom sprites arent showing up all the time when first encountering them despite me being on the dynamic version and connected to the internet. ive updated to the latest patch and talked to the pokecenter guy and it still didnt fix it. i have the download custom sprite option turned on. for example im at brock and his geogey doesnt have either of the custom images. should i give up and download the offline version that contains all the sprites?

Hey @drifting rain! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

That would likely be the source of it, that's allegedly a limited-access folder that the game doesn't like running out of

Moving it to a place like documents would help

Hey @orchid wharf! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.
