Version 5.1.3.8. Hello, I was just wondering if anyone might know why this version won't allow me to remap my Xbox controller apart from the triggers and bumpers. I just updated from 5.0.36 and had no issue with remapping there.

One thing I did notice is that after I hit F1 to remap the buttons, they will continue to control the game behind the remapping window.

Edit: Also of note, looks like I can remap the direction of the joysticks, however cannot remap pressing them down for L3+R3

im playing on the steam deck, and the game works, but for some reason, in my custom battlers folder, it creates a new folder named "indexed" and inside that folder, is folders numbered 1-420, and the png files are split up into those numbered folders, is that supposed to happen? thought the .png files went directly into the custom battlers folder, no sub folders?

Hello, I have a problem.
Whenever I enter some cities or some cutscenes. It doesn't play bgm at all.
Said bgms include Gary's theme when he appears and Cerulean City.
I have re-entered Cerulean several times while Gary's theme might just be a bgm drop.
I do have the bgm for Cerulean city so can anybody help me with this?

Idk if this is an issue anyone else has come across, but I opened my game after ~2 months of not touching it and discovered that I could not encounter any Pokemon.
I tested it and could encounter Pokemon from using Rock Smash & static encounters, but could not from any of the grass or fishing.
I updated to the most recent patch to see if that would fix anything, but I had no luck with that. Is there a way of fixing this?

Hey @tiny sundial! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hey @steel dune! Are you having trouble starting the game? Here are a few common errors you might be experiencing:

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

  1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
  2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
  3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
  4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
  5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

That's an error that happens when your game can't load a sprite. You can try grabbing the latest spritepack, but if it's not that then I dunno - I haven't used joiplay

Okay so I've been trying to get this issue fixed for a week. I've been encountering a ridiculous amount of freezing in the game where certain actions, like throwing out a pokemon in battle and using an HM, take 30 seconds just to occur, and now just opening up the summaries for my party Pokemon takes forever. Weirdly enough, when I went into my box I was able to check my boxed Pokemon just fine but the INSTANT I even opened the tab for my party Pokemon the game completely froze and I had to close it. If it means anything, I'm using the dynamic file to play the game, so maybe something related to the internet is what's causing the lag. I've been incredibly frustrated by this issue because I've really been enjoying this game, but the freezing makes it basically unplayable and not even redownloading the entire game fixed it.

So, I've downloaded JOIplay, got the rpg maker addon, the rpg maker XP rtf, downloaded the full game, downloaded the patch, and copied everything in the data folder over to the full game after clearing that folder out. This is the farthest I've made it. It hangs here then says the game isn't responding.

downloaded the game yesterday, im playing on 5.1.3.8.
for some reason when trying to choose a sprite in the pokedex i have to try multiple times, the sprite list having issues displaying them properly , sometimes even showing empty space.
when i try to select a sprite it usually throws me back to the pokemon list without changing anything.
besides that, in the custombattlers folder, there are a few images that i dont know if they should be present there.
what do i do?

Dynamic downloads the sprites from the internet when you play, so you need a constant internet connection.
Preloaded has all the costum sprites already. There are a lot, so if your PC isn't very strong, I recommend dynamic. Choose preloaded if you don't want to be connected to the internet all the time

I just checked to make sure it comes with the game and isn't a generated file, and indeed it does come with the game, at least in the preloaded zip. You might want to try reinstalling the game. This shouldn't affect your save files, as they aren't stored in the game directory.

Try enabling compatibility mode. Right-click the exe, go into its properties, go to compatibility, and this is an rpg maker xp game, so you probably need to pick windows xp, I don't know how it is now but the last time I had to set compatibility options for an app xp was divided into service packs, if this is the case then you probably want the service pack with the highest number

Easiest way would be to extract from the .zip file again, assuming you didn't delete it

Did you edit the save file in a text editor?

Hey @main jetty! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Hey @languid agate! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

  1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
  2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
  3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
  4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
  5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.
