Hey @sharp oracle! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

You are just replacing the wrong files. The game has dummy files in it that have no effect on the game. As for the stutter, try turning off download sprites or turning on DNA Icons in Options

You probably grabbed the patch instead of the full game. Double check what zip folder you downloaded. The patch is for those with an older version that need to update.

The patch isn't necessary on a fresh install, unless you're getting an older full version to get all the sprites preloaded. Running the patch by itself will cause it to hang because it's missing almost everything.

You can't run things from a zipped folder. You have to extract it first. The whole thing. It's gonna take a while, especially if it's the preloaded one.

Just hit extract all and hit OK, it'll make a folder as usual for extracting zip folders

The reason it takes a long time is not the size, but the fact that it's thousands of tiny little files.

Are you playing a randomizer? Sometimes the randomizer's encounter file is invalid. Depending on how early you are, you can rerandomize by talking to the update man on the 2nd floor of the pokecenter, or you may just find it easier to restart

I've had save files end up in both folders.

I've gone through multiple variations of "existing saves". I made a normal save locked to classic as everyone's meant to do, I had an ongoing randomized playthrough saved multiple times, I downloaded a save for access to debug mode, and I tried to download the completed save posted here, but I only managed to actually load it successfully once, the rest of the time the game just crashed. it's odd because the download instructions specifically say "If the patch has the same version number as the full download, then you don't need it!" so i'm not sure if patching would change anything

Patching ur game essentially has the same effect as refreshing ur Data folder which can help with certain things

And if ur missing some libraries ig a patch would have those too

But usually if u patch a full version of the game and the patch is the same version it's more likely that one of the files messes up

Nope, normal loading screens like zone changing and entering/exiting battle are all fine. Just fused mons being tossed out by enemy trainers or encountered in the wild have the awkward long pause. It's kinda fun cause it gives you time to guess what's coming out based on the name but I'd prefer to play the game more quickly lol

And I managed to figure out what it was! OAO
I don't know how these two things are tied together in the game's code, but what I had done that messed this up was: I started the game in Modern Mode, then after that I randomized the game for fun. I did not realize this would cause issues. So when it happened on a second attempt, I realized that had to be the problem so I used the magic boots to change the game mode from Modern to Randomized, and it went right back to functioning like normal!

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Trying to patch from Legacy mode to 5.1. Tried dragging the patch into the location of my folders but trying to run the game caused an error. Am I missing a step?
