I've been messing with the files, and I've tried changing the overworld character sprite, but it won't change. Can anyone help me with this? I've changed the girl_bike, girl_run and tchar001 and my character is the basic female sprite. 1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Keybinds are somehow messed up now, however, the game is hella faster and its nice not having to wait a full minute after every battle

make sure everything extracted correctly, try using 7zip or another tool to extract instead of the base windows unzipper, sometimes it leaves files behind

when you install for the first time, just make sure you're only using the 5.1 file and not the patch, possible you copied some stuff over and it accidentally removed files which is causing the crash

some GPUs are just not compatible with rpgmaker - try updating your graphics drivers, and if that doesn't work, you might be SOL

make sure you're not resizing it or clicking it or anything while it loads

check your custombattlers folder for 374.352.png - if it isn't there, the sprite won't load

other possibility is that it's an alternate which you can change in the pokedex

alright i think i ran into a pretty serious issue? or maybe i'm overlooking something (but i really dont think so, its been a pretty extensive search)
I arrive to cinnabar, and there's the rocket grunt at the dock stealing the boat, first thing. i follow them to sevii islands with surf, but get stuck before mt. ember as i do not have dive, and there doesn't seem to be an alternate way to go. so i went back to cinnabar and did the classic blaine stuff, but that's about it. never triggered the scientist that gives you access to one of the legendary birds, if that is relevant to anything. after beating sabrina, the first thing i did was go to kanto, realized i couldnt do much, and then crimson city.

so the gist of it is:
don't have dive, ilex forest still blocked by trees, have blaine's gym badge. tried to follow the rocket grunt to sevii islands, but can't progress far enough because i dont have dive. cant seem to progress in any way, as every direction seems to be blocked by something or other.

Are you extracting from the same file you downloaded? It could be that the original file you downloaded is corrupted. Or the extraction process is messing up. Extracting can take a long time so make sure to let it do its thing and not mess with your computer while its doing it

Its because you have the folder you extracted the game to, in too many folders. Create a new folder on your desktop. Extract Infinitefusion_5.1.1.1-full.zip to that new folder. That's all you need to do to play the game

How did you get 5.1? When upgrading to 5.0+ from 4.9 make sure you just download the main release file and extract that, don’t merge it with the 4.9 game folder

Hey @deft drift! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Hello, i have a problem downloading the game from Mega. I download the folder ("infinitefusion_5.1.1.1-full.zip") but i can't extract it on my PC, i can't even open it. I don't know why, the explorer.exe of Windows crashes, and I've tried other software like 7zip but it doesnt work at all.
I have downloaded the folder many times, even older version, i can't open properly none of them. But this happens only with the full game folders, because the patch folder is okay. Try the alternate loader thing, but double click on it then just leave it, took a good 5 minutes to get going but now that it is the wait time on doors and after battles is minimal. It was taking me like 30 seconds to a minute every time I went through a door lol

not really that surprising, really just depends on what the launcher allows as valid filepaths

I don't think anyone helped you yet, so if not: try using 7Zip or another extraction program instead of the base windows extractor - windows one is notoriously good at randomly dropping files / using your entire CPU / exploding / etc.

it won't always look good for every sprite

the pokemon battle screen was meant for back sprites on your side but to avoid having to make back sprites for fusions which would double the work, it just displays the front ones on your side which can sometimes have this problem

Alright I clearly have the brain of a grandma if I can't figure out the sprite pack, but I'm still confused.

I get that PNG goes into the game's CustomBattles folder, so I probably take them all out of the spritepack's CustomBattles folder. But I still have two folders left over. Probably can skip Other, but what about Unused-sprites?

There IS a way of fixing it but someone has to go in your game and debug it. Sort of like take you out of that situation. I recommend to always save in multiple slots so you don't lose too much progress.

No because that version of the update man doesn't know about Pokemon 5.0 Update man is only used when you apply a patch to an existing game. Honestly it sounds like you wont be able to use that save. I know hypno toad has said that compatibility with the saves has issues since 5.1

so I looked trough the scripts and found what I think is the script responsible for converting the older saves to the current version.
My guess is that it didn't trigger for some reason, so I thought it might trigger if I had no saves except for the older save in the savefile folder, which worked

Hey @sweet grail! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

No problem! Glad we could get to the bottom of it. The long answer as to why it doesn't work is that 5.0's system of looking at custom sprites is different than 5.1.1.1 The game is trying to find the sprites in an area that doesn't exist

Hey @vague pawn! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.
