I just think that the info that's out there to do the patch is a bit outdated. It's no longer just the data folder that needs to be replaced. Also the secondary launcher is not with the patch. Maybe it would be better to pull it for now. But I think if you added a Readme in the patch that said, delete "x" files, that would help a lot.

Oh the alternate launcher is not in the patch because it's just the old Game.exe launcher so if you're updating from an old version, then you already have it

heya, first post in this server, having trouble with starting my game after last night. when i tried to save my game last night, it returned with "save failed," and when I went to the title screen and tried to re-enter the game, it returned with an error I didn't get the chance to take a picture of. now, when i start on both the main and alternate launchers, it gives me an error which looks similar to this

I checked out the readme file in the folder, and I figured out a way to circumnavigate having to reinstall the game. I went into my Appdata/Roaming like it tells you to, and I renamed the "infinitefusion" folder. I can't access that save file anymore it seems, but it's much better than having to wait 10+ minutes to reinstall everything again. Leaving this here in case someone else needs to do the same and also glosses over the readme.txt!

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

If you're using a shortcut try using the main .exe

Hello there Tech-support people, I've got a very weird audio issue with the game:

The issue itself is that in about half of the zones I do not have any background music, for example, no music plays in Cerulean city. I've checked my background music folder and the tracks are there, also I've tried restarting my pc, starting the game as admin, and doing a fresh install from the MEGA folder on the 5.0.x zip file without the patch, just to see if that affects things

I'm still enjoying the game quite a bit, but it's very annoying to have my music not work for about half of the time

@tall holly I've found the source of why my BGM was not playing half the time, when I downloaded the game, some of the music track filenames got malformed, as I showed above. Aside from this there's still a few separate instances of BGM not playing, such as in the safari zone (Fixed that one by copying and renaming the safari track to the one the map tries to call)

Hey @lapis cove! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Hi I was playing the game and needed to beat team rocket for 8th gym to unlock. I updated my game during the story and I didn't see team rocket in goldenrod. Someone suggested using the fix it guy in the poke centers. I tried it and it worked! Before beating everybody I saved the game, beat the 8th gym and saved before and after. I open my game today and I still have to beat team rocket. After first fight everyone disappears and I can't progress in the story. I used the fix it guy and it's not helping anymore. I am, and I just fixed it.

First I did a fresh install + patch, that didn't fix it
then I went to the update man in the second floor of the poke center and said "fix my game" and that didn't fix it
then I turned off the randomizer and could encounter pokemon again
then I randomized it again and noticed there were new options from the last time I randomized. After I switched them on again and he reshuffled I'm able to encounter randomized pokemon again

I assume turning the randomizer on and off resolves it, but included the other things I tried in case it's a combination of stuff

@past delta I'm not on the tech team but I had the download stall like that. Completely ending the task (Task Manager might be necessary aka Ctrl+Alt+Del for Windows). It will take about 5 minutes to download but typically if the download screen is stalled at 0% it means something has gone wrong. Try re-unzipping the file after ending that and if it still stalls, delete the files downloaded and try a fresh install.

I started playing the game a few days ago on Version 5.1.0.3 and ran into a bug after the 5th gym. When i beat Koga he gave me the badge and the TM. When i talked to him again he said something about Lance, but Lance didn't show up. The rivalbattle also didn't happen. Not that bad but the main problem now is that the Rocket grunts that drop the ID in Safron are not around and i can't progress without it. I tried the Dude in the pokecenter to fix it but that didn't work. Is there a fix or do i need to start a new game?

first thing, try going into your pokedex and finding that pokemon. See if you can switch the sprite that way. If you can't do this. Go into your graphics folder, then to custombattlers, then indexed, 329. Inside there is 329.68, delete it. Then next to it should be 329.68a Rename that file to 329.68

the new game folder includes a .bat file that you can execute so it automatically migrates your save file, and then you can access it with the new launcher

have you checked if the sprites are available in the pokedex? you can switch between available sprites by finding the pokemon in the dex, going to its entry and going to the "sprites" tab, then selecting the tab and then you can switch between the sprites and select the one you want

my problem right now: i downloaded the new game version and patched it and migrated the save file. the save is there, but the movesets of all my pokemon are messed up and strange, like my ivysaur(23) knowing two flying and a fire attack.

you can however migrate your save file manually.
open the readme.txt and it should give you the path of where the old version safe file is and where you can find the new safe file location.
simply replace the file in the new directory with your old save file.
though, i had replaced the one in the given location with my existing old file, but it only worked after i also replaced the save file in the "Savefile" folder that's in the same folder you find the .exe in

i only copied the old save file instead of cutting it, so i still have it backed up just in case

to add multiple sprites of the same fusion, you can add an "a" or "b" to it, like 329.68a; or outright replace them if you know you won't use the present sprite

what i ended up doing is extracting infinitefusion_5.1.0.1-full.zip and the patch zip then replacing the files from the full zip with the patch zip

ah sorry, i'm not confident enough to go into calls with strangers ^^;
did you throw the sprite you want into the graphics > custombattlers folder? the pngs for new sprites just go there.
if that doesn't work, you can replace the sprite manually in the same process i explained to hek a bit further up.
find out the sprite number of the fusion you want, for example 123.45, then go into
game folder > graphics > custombattlers > indexed > folder 123 > paste it in there. make sure the sprite png has the correct name (in this case 123.45). it might ask you to overwrite an existing sprite by the same name, and if you know you don't need that old sprite you can overwrite it, or you rename either sprite to 123.45a so it becomes an alternative you can choose from in the pokedex
