Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

When 5.1 starts up and you get the text "While importing custom sprites, the game has detected that (X) new custom sprites already have versions that exist in the game. What to do with the new sprites?" and gives you the option to "Replace all the old sprites with the new ones" How does it handle sprites with the same filename/alternate sprites? Does it consider any sprite with the same filename as a "version that already exists in the game" or does it know that they're the same file based on their date and size like Windows File Explorer does or something, and if they don't match renames it to an alternate sprite?

Hey @whole patrol! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

These are the sprites that have the same names. You can either replace all of them or replace them manually later. I'm planning on adding an other option to let you add the sprites as alts eventually but it's not there yet

Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

what sprite are you trying to add? generally if you know the combo you can use the command dex pokemon1/pokemon2 in bot-commands and it should tell you what the image needs to be named when it's placed in the graphics/custombattlers folder

sorry I missed this yesterday, but it means your save is corrupted, should be other people with the same issue above

Hey @sharp matrix! Are yo having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .exe file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

Hey @viscid slate! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable. Nothing can likely be done about issues experienced on mobile, unfortunately.

No mobile version will be developed in the future, either.

Yeah I've had that issue too. Entering a battle in the area fixes the issue temporarily, but if you're in an area with no battle options/encounters then I'm not too sure if there is a fix

Alright, another dumb question: The custom sprite isn't showing up in the game and it's not an option to switch to it in the Pokedex either, it shows it in the battle sprites folder did I need to put it somewhere else?

I put my custom sprites in custom battlers, named them properly, and they aren't working. I made them alts for snub and granbull, and changed audio files to semi-port lillipup and stoutland into the game. The sounds work fine, but the alternative sprites I made specifically for this do not

I'm starting to think the numbered names for snub and granbull in game are different than the ones labeled in the custom battlers folder, as if I name one of my custom sprites "209.png" I don't get a duplicate name message at all

Just double checked. The proper number for snubbull and granbull is 209, and 210 respectively. I don't get a duplicate message when renaming my custom sprites that so I think they are labeled incorrectly in my files, but being on mobile I can't directly search for them.

Hey @ashen roost! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable. Nothing can likely be done about issues experienced on mobile, unfortunately.

No mobile version will be developed in the future, either.

I got 5.1 today and just tried. Never had this issue on the previous version, but it stays black for like 20 sec whenever I go outside from in a building and after battles end. I guess it is just taking a long time to load. But 20 sec is a long time for it to happen every time. I hv it on randomized area, would it help to put it on diff settings?

im not sure about hv 5.1? i downloaded from the #downloads mega link. i start my game, wait a 5-10min for it to load. i only get the audio playing and my screen stays black. i think we have different problems.

Yes, in that link there is a 5.1 beta version and a 5.0.36.4 version. Do u know which u downloaded? Its normal for it to take a couple min for it to start but not the part of the audio. Have u tried restarting ur computer? I had the 5.0... version before i got the 5.1 and it worked well, just had to wait a while at the start

Hey @sterile pivot! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Hey @onyx viper! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable. Nothing can likely be done about issues experienced on mobile, unfortunately.

No mobile version will be developed in the future, either.

you can! you just need to run "migrate_savefile.bat" (thats included in the 5.1 beta download) as an administrator and itll move your save file over automatically!

version 5.1 doesn't really work for me. Takes like 25 sec to load the main areas outside houses and battles which is way too long for it to occur every time i battle or go outside, may be bc of my laptop I'm using but regardless of the reason, I am planning to redownload the 5.0.36 version. I know there are sprite packs which I assume I can download and add to the 5.0.36 files for them to be used in the game. Does anyone know which packs are not part of 5.0.36?

That was what I assumed as well. Well, the two nov ones, 84 and 85 i believe? But wasn't sure so figured I'd ask. I couldn't find access to any other packs tho, only 1-59 on the pokecommunity and then 84 and 85 here on discord in the dowload section. So hopefully it is only those two, otherwise idk where to find them anyway

I got the 5.1 bc I was using a krookodile+gyarados mix that I saw a custom sprite for but when it evolved to that in my 5.0.36 save, it wasn't custom and looked bad. Same thing with my flygon+ampharos in that same save. Two of my team members that I had seen good sprites for turned out to not hv one so I downloaded the new 5.1 which didn't function well for me. So I don't think 5.0.36 has all of them

Idk if this goes here since it is the 5.1 beta but like 2 days ago I was playing just fine, the only reason I could think that mightve caused this was me fighting a double battle vs the same trainer (by that I meant like same name, same mons, etc)

Hey @nova crane! The game isn't made to be played on mobile! You can try to use Joiplay to run it, but the game will likely be very slow, glitchy, or downright unplayable. Nothing can likely be done about issues experienced on mobile, unfortunately.

No mobile version will be developed in the future, either.

Hey @gilded seal! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

No, the BGM disappears as soon as I enter Route 17 and comes back when entering Route 16 or 18. Battle Music (both Trainer and Wild), Evolution, Hatching, Catching and Fusion Music as well as Soundeffects are unaffected, it's only the Overworld BGM of Route 17 specifically

To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

So when I launch the game it hits a black screen. Now I know this is normal what isn’t normal is the fact it never leaves the black screen. I’ve tried leaving open over night and it was still black screen I’ve tried restarting. But here’s the thing I can still hear the menu music like the game did load but it just stayed at a black screen and also my screen goes to the size I set it at which is pretty much full screen. So I don’t really know what to do? If someone knows what the issue is please help.

Hey @west parrot! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

No need to thank me. I have 160+ hours of VODs to go through because your game officially kicked started my streaming after 3 years.

If ever possible i would love to be able to talk with you about the game, on or off stream. Thank you in various ways, ask if i can help play test, and just gush over how good you have done.

However.....i have a boot to pick with you. It's been over a week. I quit fishing. Dragons Den can't spawn shiny unless you tell me you KNOW it can. Because i have lost my sanity...went searching for it, lost myself looking for it, and only have ~400 boots. I need your personal help to reassure me it's going to happen. Because i lost any sense of hope at this point.

I tested it (with increased shiny odds) and yes, fishing rods can 100% spawn shinies. It's probably not the most efficient way to shiny hunt though since like you said you can can often get boots instead of encounters.

Idk if you have it already, but near Cherrygrove city you can get an autohook upgrade which makes fishing easier

Hey @spring gorge! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Few bugs i have found in my close to 200 hours

Latios struggled to death and if i encounter him again the game black screens, and when closing it says the game got stuck in a loop.

Speaking of getting stuck: Porygon has blocked the entrance/exit for me 2x and i refuse to return to Bill.

Few text errors here and there, and found a few spots you can surf on land.
