@acoustic radish what are you talking about lol. Indie game usually doesn't have big teams of people beacause they are.. you know.. independent. so they chose an art style they can do with their size. You obviously not going to make a GTA V kind of graphics with a team of 10 people.
Also I highly doubt they want to ride on the "nostalgia", they just think it's a good look for their game. nothing to do with how old the style is and what people will think of it. it's not because computer are more powerfull now that the look is suddently become bad. It's still a good look

Only if they actually have an evolved form to become.
Else this wouldn't even work. Boom Boom only has evolved
forms in the updated version of the game. (I wanna play that...)
