What about the soundtrack? I think most people agree the soundtrack of the original DS games is superior to the reorchestration. Something was lost.

The DS games hold up. They're not outdated, you can pick them up and play them, just like you can pick up a modern pixel RPG such as Octopath Traveller.

It's unfortunate that I ironically have to recommend people to emulate Sinnoh because there's no legitimate remake available (just an overpriced port that replaces all the sprites with 3D models, and the 3D is an artistic downgrade) and 2nd hand legal copies of Platinum cost an unrealistic fortune.

I don't mess with shit like that lol last time I did it did break my pc..I was stupidly trying to increase the ram of an hp stream laptop from 4 to 8 and it worked for a few days then never turned on again

That was back when I didn't understand any of that shit. I was trying to play big grand strategy games like eu4 and hoi4 with 4gb of ram. If you're unfamiliar with those games they're real time strategy games with various speeds, I was on speed 3 which is standard and it took about 10ish minutes per month. At the time I thought that was great but when I got an actual gaming pc a month on speed 3 took maybe 2 minutes max. I had no idea how I ever played so slowly
