I agree... ||However, there do seem to be badges that decrease damage from specific sources (the only one I've encountered so far is the magma badge thing), and those just couldn't really exist if double damage wasn't a thing.||
That said, yeah it does lose that "OH SHOOT!" feeling you got when a powerful enemy starts dealing double damage.

Considering Dante is immortal yes. While he can’t see stands, he has way to many abilities from his demon heritage that could make him beat most Jojo characters
The only exception I can see is Wonder of U, Made In Heaven and maybe D4C
Like Royal guard (if using the game mechanics and not the lore variant) where he can absorb the damage then dish it back out I think twice as hard then most stand users are screwed

I went with Gallade and Gardevoir because those are the first two Pokemon I thought of for a dude and a girl and while Sylveon would have fit color wise, Marill is the only Pokemon changing gender, if only in one direction. It fits better than just the color palette IMO

Akiza has some interesting plots in the first part of the show until they had to drop the whole cults plots due to Carly’s JP actress
Crow is, one if the weaker ones of the cast, actually a lot of late 5ds is weak due to them having to change the plot from secret ancient society to secret time travelling future society
