Beast of Reincarnation doesn't have to have a yearly release in time for the holidays. They had as much time as they could ever want because there's no expectation or deadline.

I get it, everyone HATES Nintendo, but not everything they do is evil. Why would Nintendo make highly polished games that run well on the system and have plenty of dev time, but then go and force GameFreak to do the opposite? Pokemon is seen as a property of Nintendo, and the lack of quality control reflects badly on them. If they had that much control they likely would put more resources into making sure the game actually works.

If you want to blame someone, blame Creatures Inc. They also own a third of Pokemon, and guess what they're the ones in charge of all the merch, the card game, etc. and the main reason they push for consistent outpouring of games. Most of Pokemon's money comes from the merch.
