It can deal more damage based on the distance I fall before hitting my target (I might have a chance to beat the wither on Bedrock this time). This weapon + trident with riptide might work well while raining, or I can fight the wither at the sea. I just beat the Wither on Bedrock Edition. I used a trident with riptide & impaling enchantment. I don't have the chance to use my mace. Trident with impaling enchantment is goated on bedrock. It can deal more damage if the enemy is in contact with water. I fought the wither while it rained at first until the rain stopped. I guess it's one easy way to beat the wither.

I feel like, if the writers were given like 20 extra episodes, they might have actually done something with those two tag-alongs. But they already had to fit the publisher-mandated meaningless stabbing-puppet-things every episode near the end, fearing kids would be bored without it, on top of an actual story.

Tamers was easily my favorite digimon season. Perfect vibe. First time I rewatched it thanks to the internet. I thought it was basically perfect.
Second time... Well, still a perfect vibe. But certainly not perfect execution. You can tell when the writers were getting to do what they wanted, and when the managers came down and said "Yeah, this is a Digimon, sir. You need to go to the Digital World."

And then they aimlessly wander for 10 episodes accomplishing nothing, not moving towards a particular goal (literally returning to the same location almost every other episode). And then they get beat up the digimon sovereign. And suddenly there's 3 more! Oh, and we're good now, because there's red lava lamp juice, that was never hinted at or relevant literally ever before. Sure, I was set on world domination, and have an ideological hatred for humanity, but we're good.

I could go on for 20 pages on the little things that I wished they had done better. Maybe have actually planned out. Perhaps a bit more creative freedom. But it's still got good vibes (excluding the digi world arc, save for a couple critical scenes).

Definitely still did monster of the week. Seemingly out of obligation, as none of the monsters ultimately amount to anything or say anything of note. What made the motw bit of the show acceptable waas the story happening around it - and they aren't often that much of an interruption therein.

Maybe with the exception of Vajramon wanting to have a talk with Renamon, which, on protest from Rika, Renamon says "There are somethings only a digimon would understand," which is a subtle way of saying "You wouldn't understand," basically explicitly stating the emotional distance between the two.
And then... the conversation doesn't happen until much later, when the kids area around, and wasn't even a conversation of any consequence. If it was left offscreen, that would have had so much more potential for implications.

Zhuqiaomon, does basically nothing until the team walks into his lair, and then he wipes the floor with the group before azulongmon shows up and says "No. The lava lamp juice is going to destroy us all, and we need to work with the humans."...after it was demonstrated that they can't match his power, and makes no argument as to inherent qualities of humanity or something, so no real justification for that "Eh, OK, We'll help.".
Then finally, when a couple of rocks are thrown on the lava lamp, they digivolve everyone, and leave the digital world.
What was the purpose of tossing Culumon down the D-Reaper hole in the first place, if the goal was to digivolve everyone to fight the sovereign? Who knows.

i completely agreed with Kartorrent, i've once take the game master role for one paper RPG game, and godamn more than 4/5 is bloody hell to organize, always someone missing / late / gone because one other is late. And more players mean more time by turn to discussion, and bigger implication about map exploration etc...

for me 4 is perfect, enough members for diversity in fight / exploration and not enough to organisation planning

and less players mean less possibility of over chaotic development too 💀

Wanna hear A story? I was using A Dwarf-Ranger, with the beastmaster subclass, and I was playing A 1-shot, and 1 of the other players made it their ultimate goal to POISON MY WOLF. They always asked if there was any chocolate around, and they were struck by A crossbow for trying to rob A store. Their class was Monk.

Moechi (The wolf) actually was the main factor in saving 3 of the 5 players that were playing (Each in different problems.) due to keen hearing and smell, and yet this Monk guy STILL tried to poison Moechi with the 1 piece of chocolate he had found, to which I, out of character, stood up from the table and simply yelled, "NO.". I haven't seen that player since that 1-shot.
