Eh, dunno if it works for you but I think it'd be best to approach it casually and do some grinding when you've got nothing else to play and stop when you're bored, otherwise you'll be mortified about how long it takes to complete.

i'd been kinda just going for it and killing everything i encounter, but my most recent bossfight ended up with me using issac as a secondary healer, and relying on ivan's pack-mule'd healing items because garet and mia aren't fast enough to guarantee they'll be alive by the time they can move
i was using their djinn, which weirdly enough were mainly defensive buffs, but was afraid to use mia's and her heal bc the boss was faster and i couldn't rely on her
also was jumpscared by the fact mia was level 10 on arrival and my highest was 8 at the time
