Sorry it's hard to explain what I'm thinking of, but, isn't Arena like a whole thing with the random packs to get good decks, always online, events and all that? I could get into it if the PC application itself doesn't take too much space though, I was just hoping there'd be alternatives like with Yu-Gi-Oh that has independent apps with all the cards free for purely competitive stuff, or more single player, older ones and so on.

The dude had something something Heroes as a deck and spend 20 honest to god minutes in one turn filling the field with spells and keycards (the cornerstones of the deck and usually its strongest monster) and when I finally was allowed to play all I could do was summon a little maid with like 500 HP.
He didn't even kill her, he just activated half his field on my own turn and she just vanished.

No I get the sentiment with the latest decks that are entirely based around either literally denying you your field or leaving you fully paralyzed but since I play with friends and machines with simpler or silly decks I have tons of fun, and when you do get your combo oh boy.
