Hmm okay here's what i got: Kaijuu no.8 (quite new and popular but might just be up your alley) ; tower of god (progression through a tower beating challenges); record of ragnarok (tournament style fighting anime about gods) ; one punch man ( a lot less serious but a fun watch with a lot of great action) ; frieren (more fantasy and slow paced but has some amazing fights and great for beginners)
