I only really played the Battle Network games and Star Force 1 (which is a sequel series to BN)
Those are more RPGs than the platformers of the regular series

If you did those it’s best considered starting with 2. 1-2 is a massive quality difference and the story can be summed up with a quick wiki read without much spoilers. 2-3 are continuity heavy, then the games got a soft reboot courtesy of getting more in line of the anime at the time

4-5 are a duology, and 6 is stand-alone that acts as a grand finale to the whole series
