it depends on whether the ability value of the body mon is 1 or 2 that determines which pokes ability is inherited by fusion

but those should be the weakest fusions for specific stats

What was the reasoning behind getting rid of the +25% stats for fusion?

i guess because it naturally made fusions better by default, and eliminated some element of strategy that goes into deciding which pokemon to fuse. With the bonus, any fusion is automatically better that any solo pokemon, regardless of whether the fusion is good.
