Given the nature of infinite fusion, adding new mons would be one hell of an undertaking. Not only would the mons themselves have to be added, but also a plethora of fusions. Imo, wouldn't be worth the hassle anyway lol

its due to the fact infinite fusion was created on a version of pokemon essentials (the engine the game was made in, not a decompilation rom hack or anything like that) before gen 8
and the last time the team tried to manually add moves or mons from gen 8 to the game, it didn't exactly go well
and the alternative is remaking everything in a new version of pokemon essentials, so

Was looking at different fusions, cresselia and bastiodon is a really good defensive mon, incredible physical and special bulk, high HP stat and if you take levitate ability you resist 11 different typings, and it’s very strong typings like dragon, steal, fairy, grass, ground and poison. Only major weaknesses is it’s bad attacking stats and it’s only 2x weakness to fire but you can probably outlast most mons

guessing youre on remix if you got it "early game" (diglett's tunnel i assume)
cant really go too wrong with a 600 bst to work with
you can slap about anything on it that patches up whatever holes your team has and get results
just keep in mind that any fusion you make with dratini as the head will keep its dragon type once fully evolved
while if its the body, it'll inherit dragonite's flying type and no longer be dragon type
up to you which is better, dragonite has decent tools for both

And... unless you are doing a challenge run, or going into competitive (I heard there was some sorta IF competitive scene), the "viability" doesn't really matter, because you can make up for any weakness or strength by grinding more or less to fit your needs.

Unless a pokemon cannot evolve, I see no reason it should be a concern if fusions evolve. It'll give you a prompt as well if both evolve at the same time.
As far as fusing starter, that is more of your choice. Brock isn't too hard unless your pokemon are weak to his.
(Plus, there is usually counters for gyms nearby)

most anything thats bug/steel is pretty solid
shedinja gives wonder guard to everything, although most combos with its ghost typing fair better than combos with its bug typing
scolipede and galvantula are both available as soon as viridian forest on remix mode, those are solid contenders for any long-term bug fusions you might wanna make
and if you want u-turn, yanma is one of the few pokemon that gets it by level up and has STAB, so thats worth considering imo

Volcarona's got some excellent fusions, Volcarona/Alakazam look great and is insanely strong for example. There's also the Arceus/Volcarona fusion which is a reference to Radiance from Hollow Knight. Scolipede has a lot of cool ones, like Hydreigon/Scolipede, Haxorus/Scolipede, and Scolipede/Bisharp

Banette/Scizor is another favorite of mine, technician with Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, and Quick Attack is wild, throw Swords Dance on top of it or Sucker Punch and Choice Band and the thing becomes a monster

You can also use Bug/Dragon just cause it’s unique

Volca/Slaking is peak, one of the most broken fusions I’ve used
You could also try either Volca/Ryperior with rock solid, or Eviolite Volca/Rhydon for more bulk with flame body
Volca/Noivern for quiver dance Dragon pulse
Goli/Electivire for a tanky electric/bug that gets Plasma Fists
Or Yanmega/Electivire for speed boost electro ball

Volca/Kommo-o can be potent mixed attacker thanks to dragon dance and fiery dance boosting att/speed and spec att respectively, throw drain punch and either dragon pulse or dragon claw in and you got some great neutral coverage and recovery options

Sadly it doesn’t get Lunge, there’s no physical bug move that gets the Sheer Force Boost

If you're referring to Focus Blast, it's TM52 which you can find on Victory Road.
I think Aura Sphere is a TM in gen 8 and 9, I was just saying it'd be cool if it could get it in IF

What is a fusion that made you laugh when you first saw it? For me it was during my very first playthrough on my laptop and I encountered Magikarp/Tentacool. I was laughing so hard because I wasn't expecting it
