The differences are so miniscule they don't matter. We're talking 2 speed vs 3 atk. Pick based on what the team needs.

Personally, I'd go steel/ghost to freely switch into fighting moves (about to hit your other steels) and keeping the disguise up

An immunity to dragon is good for some fights ig but most of your team is gonna resist it anyway

In general, it's just hard to mess up a Steel fusion cause it's just a type that meshes well with almost everything else. The best type to combo with Bug? Steel. With Dragon? Steel. Fairy? Steel. Grass? ... Well overall it's Best combined with Fire but defensively Steel

Only types that really want nothing to do with Steel are Rock and Ice, and that's more the fault of Rock and Ice than anything wrong with Steel

imo, rock can still have some niche use cases with steel, provided you have something that deals with both ground and flying well such as say, a flying type.

thankfully even in mono-steel, you've got some good partner options there
