Without modding, you can't.
In game you can get infinite splicers from scientists on Cinnabar, and completing the pokedex can get you the debug features like money and master balls.
But only through modding can you increase the number of boxes you have. My collection isn't physically possible in base PIF, let alone just enjoying the art in general.
I've also been doing this for a year, and have 500 hours on the save file.
However, I did spend a majority of that time uses randomizer settings to catch pokemon legitimately.

God. I think I just made the most annoying pokemon I've ever seen. Pawniard/Shedinja with wonder guard. This makes it so the only attacks that can do any damage to it are fairy type moves.
