To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

You have to add it to the custom battlers folder where this one belongs. The file name is where you would put it. They are all labeled by numbers in the “indexed” folder within CB or just drop it directly into the custom battlers and then load the game up

Best way to describe the way to do it is: save the image to your desktop do not change the name. Then open the folder you have the pokemon fusions game and all files saved in. Go to graphics/Custom battlers and then you can just drop it in there. Load the game up and then hit yes to updating the sprites. Or you can drop the file into folder 164 in the “indexed” folder within Custom battlers. It should be one of the first folders in that area. Should be the noctowl sprite folder but will be named “164” specifically

Well, I was hoping to make a Contrary Close Combat fighting type, or Simple Shell Smash pokemon, but I'm concerned that if it's locked to the configuration then the the gimmick of fusion won't add much to build diversity since in both of those cases the resulting pokemon would have 30-50 of their important stats (if limited to only one side config). That's because the only pokemon with those abilities have dumpster tier stats.
