More than you think tbh:

1. VERY good HP and Sp. Atk (Legitimately a competitive staple)
2. Storm drain is more than just water immunity (can buff and protects partner in 2v2)
3. By the way, that water immunity is GREAT if you pass on the ground type
4. Two color palates for spriting, which gives freedom.
5. It's honestly one of the mons that's gotten a lot of support in here meaning we already have some custom bases and sprites started for it.
6. It's just a good looking mon tbh, though I suppose that's subjective.

It's more like 2 slots but double the color pallate I suppose. 2 slots is pretty good in terms of getting the most # of mons in though tbf.

like lycanroc feels more like 3 for 2 than 4 for 2

Lycanroc is technically 3 pallates for the third evolution. No idea how they'll handle the mon itself since technically the forms are different but it is just 2 slots so we'll see.

I will say I'd be surprised if Lycanroc doesn't get in since it's just a generally popular mon and people vote dogs.

Gastrodon is nice in that it's forms are only cosmetic, so you don't have to worry about it being mechanically confusing if you use one design over the other

There's a few other mons like that, like florges, but when the forms signal a difference in stats/ability/typing it might get confusing using one instead of the other

Japeal still allows PIF to use their autogen sprites, just Aegide isn't allowed to on his website, so frogman forked Aegide's autogen repo.

I think it's a Gastrodon fusion more than Manphy tbh since it's a sea slug. Especially considering that you have Reniculus in the game that's the perfect body for it.
