• Goldenrod Radio Tower (Upstairs): Play the "Guess That Fusion" Quiz Show (Save beforehand in case of crashes). Scoring 25,000; 35,000; 40,000(A Perfect Game) points in a single run of the Advanced mode will each reward you with a Master Ball.
• Knot Island (Triple Battle Lounge): When the Lounge is Legendary-themed, winning a Triple Battle will earn you a Master Ball.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Steps:

I've used a total of like 34 to 39 balls and I'm still in the starting area.

These are lv 3 thru 5 pokemon and they break out of the first or last shake. Have they always been this hard to catch?

Hey @woven sierra! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Where do I get the EXP Share All?

Hey @blissful trout! Are you looking for the XP Share? You can get it in the Cerulean Pokémon Center from Professor Oak's Aide once you've fused at least 5 Pokémon. They can also be bought from the Silph Co. Lobby for 11,000$ if you saved 7 or more employees, or 8,000$ if you saved all the employees!

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Exp Share will NOT stack with Exp All.

For the fully evolved bug pokemon quest I have a mankey beedrill fusion but it wouldn't accept it. And for the abra quest I have an abra cleffa fusion but it would complete that one either.

1. the mankey being the head is why that first quest is failing, it isn't a bug type

2. that quest always just needed an abra, nothing else; a fused abra wouldn't work

the only quests where fused mons would work is if the npc asks for something like that

ex: show me a pokemon that is fre and water type = requires a fusion that has both typings

some quests, like the bug one, you can maybe shenanigans as long as the first part of the mon, the head, meets the requirements if it is fused

but otherwise it is best to just use unfused mons

But it worked before. Before I updated i was able to show the bug quester a mankey Butterfree fusion and it worked same for the abra quest.

the mankey/butterfree would have needed to be a much older version, the bug quest specifically asks for a bug type pokemon fully evolved

i.e., the primary tpye would need to be bug, short of you playing in a verison predating 6.0 where that fusion would have likely been part bug

In my opinion it should just check if the mons are part of the fusion since in the non randomed version. The only bug type pokemon you can get fully evolved by that point are caterpie and weedle. And the abra quest asks for an abra so it could search for an abra fusion.

You need to enter the area (from the building for example) between 5 and 10 AM of monday to have the smaller clouds show up.
Usually when people don't have them, it is because they waited outside for it to be time but arrived before 5 AM.

Do you not have a pokemon with surf (or the surf board)?
It might require that you talk to the NPCs before you can do the well stuff though (you need to talk to the guy next to the well twice, then back to the mayor I believe).

I use the first site personally, you can set the filter to "body" and enter one pokemon and see if anything in there looks somewhat similar to the shadow, then switch to the second one and so on.
Figuring out the body is often relatively straight-forwards because the body determines the main "form" of the fusion.

Once you have the body figured out, you can put it as the body in the filters again and search for the 4 that are given as possible heads, which is a lot easier since you only have 4 possible fusions to look at (although some have alternate sprites you need to look at as well).

fire is an offensive typing with 3 weaknesses to usually popular coverage typings, so with that in mind, you have a few options. you'll either want to max out the damage and speed and be something of a glass cannon with something like ghost, dragon, or psychic, (or use assault vest/weakness policy and add some bulk if you can play into it with the fusion options you have) or try to manipulate the way the AI works, and try to convince enemies to use ground moves whenever they have them (which is quite common) by stacking fire with another ground weakness like rock, steel, or electric and using the levitate ability. if the enemy has a ground type move, they will want to use that over 2x super effective moves despite you having ground immunity.

3. Use the Radar and interact with rustling grass until you find the Pokémon you are looking for, running away from any Pokémon you are not hunting.
4. Defeat or capture the Pokémon. Do not run away. More grass will be rustling around you. Choose a spot that is 4 steps away through grass tiles and is surrounded by grass on all sides. If such a location does not rustle, reuse your PokéRadar until it is. This will not break your chain.
5. Repeat step four until you find a shiny. You can use items between battles to maintain your Pokémon HP and PP.

After 20 battles, you have maxed out your Shiny chance. After 40 battles, you no longer risk breaking your chain based on grass distance however, having grass tiles around a spot is still important.

Note that IVs, and EVs are more for min-max or competitive PvP players than for a normal player wanting to have fun in the game.

Vitamins and such are sold in Celadon, the cap is 100 for each stat (and there is a cap for the total EVs as well by the way).
In the tunnel in Goldenrod, you can buy the feathers that go all the way to 252 EVs for the stat.

Hey @urban jolt! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

You don't actually need several playthroughs though, when saving, opt to save on a different slot and select slot B for example.
After you saved that way, you should have access to 2v2 and 3v3 in the options.

ah my mistake i misremembered, that's not in vanilla. it's a feature from kuray's infinite fusion, a variant that was made at some point to add things that Frog wasn't wanting to add since his desire was to keep the game as close to mainline as possible with the added fusion feature.

note also, using mods, which kuray is a QoL modding framework added to PIF, also voids support so keep this in mind. you'd need to make sure that if you for instance had any kind of tech or gameplay issues, you were able to be recreate and document the issue from a vanilla install of PIF. don't want you to run into using it without knowing that.
