How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

So this can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn

You shouldn't need to manually download the sprite packs, the installer and the game itself should download them automatically.

When you install/update, it should also install all sprites up to the install's date.
When you load a save and the options are set to download data, you will get a prompt if there is a new sprite pack, asking if you want to download it in the background as you play.
That is how it should work at least.

You cannot increase your shiny odds, as the Masuda Method (the shiny breeding technique in the main games) is unavailable

I attempted it once but every wild encounter was the exact same pokemon (at least up to Fuchsia city where I stopped playing) with an additional mon every now and then. You need to enter the sewers at the bottom of the city (you will need to remove your team rocket outfit to be able to get in), and only if you beat your rival in the pokemon tower (the name of the ghost/graveyard tower).
After beating Giovani after the sewers, you will get a key to the lift in that hideout, leading you to where the quests will start.

After beating the first gym, you have a small event near the entrance of mount moon, where the gym leader will show up and tell you to investigate the cave.
While you do, you will hear some people dressed in black talking, go back just outside the cave and you will get the TM.
Later on in vermillion you will be able to get an item that will replace the need to have the move on a pokemon in your party (similar to all HMs).

If you want to train 2 pokemons at once, you should have access to a exp share to give to the second pokemon.
If you want to train the whole team at once, you will need to use the easy difficulty to get the exp all effect (the item for that effect is in fuchsia)

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Question on Mist Stones. If you use a Mist Stone on a pokemon with a branching evolution, will it pick a result at random or one that's the earliest in the dex?

It seems to be random (a few of us tried on eevee and we got different results).
Given that there are only 2 for the whole playthrough, most people tend to only use it for pokemons that evolve quite late and only have a specific evolution though, so we might be wrong with the asumption that it is random.
Save before using it just in case

If you are trying to chain (get the same encounter over and over) then yes, you would have to catch the pokemon (or defeat it but that is not possible in the safari).
Not sure if it is worth doing chains in the safari though, as pokemons can run away quite easily.

There is a quest during which you go to the safari with your team as if it was a normal route, so if it was to chain for shinies then that would be your best bet.
Otherwise the shiny charm is likely to be a better way than chaining.

There are two very different part for the radar and I think you are confusing them.

When you use it (tall grass, surf or cave), it will show you the pokemons that are available there, with a black shadow if you never saw the pokemon.
If you did see all of them and are in tall grass, it will also show you one with a green outline which is the "radar encounter" for that route's grass.

Double-shaking grass will have 50% chance of giving you the radar encounter if it shows, they also give you better odds for rarer encounters compared to normal grass encounters and single-shaking grass.

The second part is completely different and is about chaining the same encounter over and over, usually useful when trying to get an item that pokemon holds or raising the odds of getting a shiny form of it after enough chains, you need to defeat or catch to continue the chain (but there are other things that can break the chain as well).

Sometimes it does that, I advised someone to restart the game & it work. It shouldn't take long to make eevee tired tbh.
