In there, a scientist will give you the Surf HM! You can only use Surf outside of battle if you have 6 Badges. You can also get its replacement item, the Shears, on the east path of Route 2 (only once you have the HM already). You can use Cut to access it from the west path of Route 2, or take Diglett's cave from Vermillion City to get to it!

Speaking of speed up. I changed the speed up speed setting and it didn't really change. It was the same speed.
Also is there a way to only have one speed toggle instead of having to go through 2 different speeds to get back to normal?

I want Toggle Speed-up Type, but I want to know if there is a way to change it from having only one toggle. So I don't have to press it once to get the fast forward to stop.

Hey @long sigil! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

So I'm playing around with the boots(if you know you know), and I know if you force a mon to be shiny using the menu, it becomes a black star shiny. Where as a normally encountered shiny has a red star. Is there a way to make the PID correct so that a forced shiny shows a red star?

1. ensure the sprite meets the requirements the game has within reason and is named correctly
2. if it is a fusion sprite, drag it into the custom battler folder which is inside the graphics folder

then load up the game, the game will see the sprite and index it accordingly

You'll then find the key to the Captain's cabin on the deck of the S.S Anne. You can also get its replacement item, the Shears, on the east path of Route 2 (only once you have the HM already). You can use Cut to access it from the west path of Route 2, or take Diglett's cave from Vermillion City to get to it!

Hey @unborn lodge! Do you need to install sprites? No. The game by default install sprites as you encounter Pokemon over the internet. No need to install anything.

Why do we have sprite packs? If you have unstable internet, you can use the sprite packs to install them manually using this Guide.
