#temporal storms should have two difficulty sliders to seperate the two effects

this mostly comes out of two kinds of ideas that i think would be enjoyable(ish) storm settings that are currently impossible
rare, longlasting, powerful storms; where they show up on a longer schedule, but last long enough to require larger preperations than might normally happen, and where it feels like a "major event" similar to terraria solar eclipses or blood moon events
and very common but weak storms, on a short few day schedule, so that they feel like a enviromental hazard, like high rift activity or like, a blizzard.
having these two on seperate sliders seems like a pretty easy change and would be nice to fine tune stuff easier
even outside of these i enjoy high strength storms but my "wanting to only deal with them every couple ingame months" means i get them very rarely
I'd like to bump this because it's a reasonable thing to want. Playing on a server that has gone on for a while and the storms just become too darn numerous. I'm not opposed to huddling in a bunker every once an a while so that I go make a real-world cup of tea OR having a crazy melee with rust creatures where I can get several temporal gears, but when it happens every couple of days it just gets to be a bit too much.
Adding on that having some kind of toggle for how you want temporal storm strength to progress could be a nice additional option. Maybe the storms start weak but occur more often, but as time goes on they decrease in frequency and become stronger. If difficulty sliders permitted us to have even more or less intense temporal storms than the ones that currently exist I think a lot of interesting systems could be borne out of custom difficulty progression curves.
Yeah playing on a server makes the storms really annoying bc it kills the player count and stops everything.
💯 they need to be decoupled. I want strong storms but not every 4 days.
