i'll be doing everything i can animation wise to keep them true, alot of studying too
fun fact with this i didnt even Mean to animate this but i got a really good neck movement like that and i was like Huh...i could repurpose this...
i can literally hear the squeal when looking at hte animation LOLLL
ehehhehe I love it, I am so excited for this
you are cooking dude
Oh I wanted to ask, like the pigs will the horses also have some different body types and stuff? Like some might have feathers or slimmer builds? Roman noses and such. Or will it be breed based ? I'm not a coder but I thought maybe random traits would be simpler than different breeds and it might be cool to develop your own breed based on asepcts you like.
The horses look gorgeous, can't wait! Just curious, is there a way to make predators aggressive towards livestock? It's a nice feature to up the difficulty a little and add more immersion, but I'm not sure if that would have to be adjusted within the mod itself or adjusting the vanilla bears somehow.
arent they already? not aggressive, but they count things as prey and go for tame/domesticated animals when hungry no?
For vanilla animals yes, but they don't seem to attack the animals in this mod. I tested it in a creative world and bears only went after mouflon and never ovis, same with pigs vs boars.
Are they not currently? Foxes go for my goslings all the time
I’ll look into this
Ah the only thing I didn't check was the geese, so you're likely right about those. I just checked pigs and ovis with all types of bears.
Ovis aren't genealogy from the beginning though? just compatible
or am i thinking of another mod?
Ovis are from genealogy
Ovis are geneology. Also I lied the pigs do actually work, my bad.
You may be confusing them for another mod one of our creators made called Urials
Ovis flee just don't get attacked
I'm thinking of the llama butterflies that also are named Ovis
I'm guessing Ovis refers to something else here
Yeah ovis are the sheep
yeah that makes more sense

i was thinking of these XD
awww
my confusion was large
wildcaught goose with COI 5%. I believe this is part of genelib but just not sure how this mod works with inbreeding - any info appreciated
hmm mine is 2 tabs
Thats using the genelib UI not the studbook if thats what you're referencing
Ah ok I didn't even know there was a genelib ui lol
Wait there's a studbook 0.0
yep, it should be in the handbook for the recipe
requires leather
and paper but i forgor how much
found it thanks!
What does the COI stand for?
it's related to the % of inbreeding the particular animal has since Genelib tracks it
Oh! I didn't even know inbreeding was implemented! Is it from genelib or the mod author?
Genelib auto implements inbreeding and the higher the percentage of the number, the worse off the animal gets. So lower fertility, less meat, etc
What I'm unsure about is if Genealogy mod overrides Genelibs negatives
The good thing about the animal profile (N) is you can prevent breeding so when you get the pretty animals you want, you can halt inbreeding if you want to just have them around
MOOTHHHHHHHH
AWWWWW
GETTINg that mod ty
you were getting a crash from using ear tags?
Yes right clicking a boar piglet with a blue ear tag
on a positive note I've never had so much fun stealing babysitting gosllings from the wild to watch what they grow up to be
yes goslings very nuggie very smoosh
Do babies perish when in inventories for extended periods of time?
not that ive found!
i kept some in chests until they grew instantly
Excellent haha I have wayyy too many nuggets running around so I need to store sme for selective breeding
If I could figure out the sexes of my goslings I'd already be culling but since I have to wait for them to grow up it's quite annoying.
Thats breeding poultry for ya
Yeah and the few times I've been around chickens it was easy to tell the boys (in that breed) from the girls but the rest of the chickens on that farm? Good luck.
there are some people who are trained to know, but it's literally gut feeling
and it takes so long
In factory farms it’s not just done by gut feeling there is also people who assembly line vent the birds to sex them
It’s very intrusive but it is a method that works at such a young age
Most poultry breeders don’t vent their birds
Yeah none of the ones I worked with vented. Just hatched, fed and watered and sold
Question with dam/sire and recording - is this implemented? If not, what are your plans on how to track this? Wasn't sure if it had to do with bands or not
It tracks the immediate parent but not the granddam or grandsire
Does it use bands then? Or is there a way to name
It should work when naming them with N
Excellent thank you!
