#Server up to date, client up to date, unable to join server.

I run a server on my pc and it has worked flawlessly. However I cannot access it in multiplayer after the 1.22.4 update despite the server claiming to be version 1.22.4 and the client having been updated to 1.22.4. Is there anything here that I am missing in this? What should I be troubleshooting?

Check the server-main.log, what errors does it report when you try to join?

Supposedly either it failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or the established connection failed because the connected host failed to respond.

#

Mind you the server is running on the same computer.

Weird, and both are 1.22.4? Are there any mods? If no mods you might want to try just reinstalling

Going to make a package of the world and the mods I used. Then clean slate my whole install

It did not work

#

Port Forwarding is untouched, unlikely to be the issue as it was fine before.

#

Checked it myself, its fine.

Does the Invalid Packet Received error also occur if you start a fresh vanilla world with 0 mods?

Wait let me think

#

I think so

#

Yea

And if you install 1.22.3 instead, it works fine?

Ill get back to you

I will test it in a couple hours

It is not working, even in vanilla.

#

I don't understand the issue.

#

It works if I use localhost instead of its ip

#

This is a development I believe

It does say "connected to server, downloading data" yet it downloads a little bit of data like 2kb, then kicks me off.

#

If localhost works can you just use that? Or are there other users that that would not work for?

Making a new world to see if its a world corruption just in case. I've been trying this with dummy worlds already but I will be using 1.22.3 as a base for now.

#

localhost test: ✅
public ip test: ❎

#

I found an IP that works, but I'm not sure if its the localhost IP, so I will get a tester to help me

pseudo sleet
#

Its operable at 1.22.3 but I think it should be at 1.22.5 eventually

#

Im going to put the server on a new machine which will be up to date

#

Wish me luck after 7

Master server response: bad
Could not register to master server, master server says: port not opened.
Ive already port forwarded this thing a while ago, and I double checked after I migrated the server from one piece of hardware to another.

#

There has to be an issue somewhere between being port forwarded and actually connecting to the server list. I checked my firewall and it seems fine.
