LANCASTER

Lancaster is a fresh, relaxed, long-term vanilla Vintage Story server built around survival, exploration, settling, trade, and the stories that form between a small community of regular players.

The world began on July 5, 2026, so it is still young. Fresh does not mean empty: players are already building roads, farms, workshops, settlements, and trade networks, while organizing the occasional community expedition. It does mean there is still plenty of open land, unexplored country, and room to establish something of your own.

New and experienced players are both welcome. There is no pressure to rush, compete, or catch up with a giant established economy. Lancaster is best suited to players who enjoy faithful survival, long-term building, cooperation, independent settlement, and watching a world gradually become lived in.

Yeah, this server has been hosted for two years now. It's basically new after a quiet period.

They have a whole Discord section with newspaper articles about the server's past lore. Now non-canon, but still cool that it is all documented.

Lancaster really wants to have a long-term community where people know each other.

Hello! Cupnoodles here.

Lancaster has now reached April 1st, and this is probably one of the best times to join the world.

We recently opened a new spawn called Southerners in a warmer region. There is some basic shelter and signage to help people get started, but nobody has properly settled or explored the area yet. The nearby land and resources are still mostly untouched, so new players will not be arriving after everything useful has already been claimed.

The original settlement is also still accessible through the Origin warp, so the older part of the world has not been lost.

I am an active admin and am usually happy to welcome people, answer questions, or help someone get oriented. Lancaster is intended to be a relaxed place where people can build at their own pace and gradually become part of the world.

Spring is just beginning, Southerners is still empty, and it would be great to see a few new people help turn it into a real settlement.

This is an unfortunate thing That happens during the Steps of getting into a world, while yes. it is very infuriating when you lose items. it is.. a process - like geting a helve hammer started, or building ones first base. Its bad at first true. but when you keep at it, it starts to suck less.

Lancaster is a good server to play, in my 8 days on the server i have seen good people around, very kind people that helped me with basic stuff on the early game. i made friends, and we are all having fun playing and enjoying the game.
the server is chill, has a very low latency for people on north america and south america.

Lancaster Archives Expedition — Sunday, July 26

The players of Lancaster, a small Vintage Story survival server, are organizing an expedition to the Archives this Sunday.

Nobody initially volunteered to lead, so we are solving the problem in the most reasonable possible way: holding an election, possibly forming multiple expedition parties, and placing several unsuspecting players on the ballot.

There will be two expedition gatherings:

Afternoon Expedition: Sunday at 12:00 PM EDT
Evening Expedition: Sunday at 7:00 PM EDT

New and returning players are welcome to attend. Bring supplies, equipment, storage space, and a willingness to enter an ancient structure under leadership that may have been determined partly as a joke.

Voting closes Saturday evening, and the final organization will depend on attendance and where everyone is traveling from.

Ping me again and it's a hard report to discord admins, you purposely didn't warn Phasic that there was a temporal storm coming and according to the combat logs he was hit and killed within seconds before he could even react at all upon logging in due to his internet connection.

And then you proceeded with the usual shitty Trade Chat level trolling about how he should "get good" and "was stupid" and "didn't have a plan" even though he's survived for three weeks waaaaaaaaay away from you easily.

And only died because he got caught out in the open with zero warning and got alpha striked by a bunch of mobs that he couldn't even see.

It is people like you with zero empathy that give the VS community a bad name and that continue to keep the playerbase low, you're not attracting anyone new with that kind of an attitude or making any friends by acting like an asshole.

Phasic worked his ass off and was planning on setting up a large whatever in the south....but he's not even a person to you at all, just someone who failed that you can laugh at in order to feel better about yourself.

And if that kind of punching down behavior is well endorsed and sanctioned on this server then maybe it was a good thing he died before something worse happened.

Leave him alone, he's old and disabled, and he doesn't need anyone to make his life even worse.
