City Outposts are starting to get placed - paths are made along the flat areas to easily connect spots for dozens more outposts to run to and from spawn area. The idea being, people set up their bases out in the world, use Can Cities to secure it and have a summon point to teleport to their cities. Set up an outpost around spawn, with a summon plot, so they can go to and from spawn for trade, helping new people, etc.

Mail mod seems to be working. Some 1.22 mod kink woes, but overall it's been rather stable.

We recently upped the server from 8 to 16 slots and will continue to increase it as people fill up the nodes. The server is being paid out a year at each upgrade - for a server that's here for the long haul. We're on July in Year 2, which is very young considering the server is planned to go well past year 100. This isn't a rush content server and wipe to redo, this is a place for community to call home and have plenty of time to build a rich world.

Superchill Go-Time update:

BloodmasterIV built an adventurer's guild - their nation of Ezenia has created their own currency, printed their own coins, and has a for-hire form set up on their bulletin board.

They have faith in the server that it will attract more players, so I am trying to continue spreading the word. Through commentary from the players on the server, we also expanded what is available in the public workshop. Banner workbench, jewelcrafting machines, clothmaking tools.

Currently on year 3, planning on minimally thriving through year 100 and more. Hearing this point, the nation of SacredRiver explained they might start projects they've just been talking about involving giant bridges, sprawling path networks, and other things I already forgot, sorry bro. May or may not have been drinking on that discord convo. The amount of work in their mountain (or i think more accurately, mountain range) is impressive.

Loving the people we have so far on the server, and looking forward to meeting more.

On top of the Adventurer's Guild, where you can ask for help or offer help to others - there is a new Gun Store where BamnMcNoice has new inventory to sell or trade for.

you might be the first person i've seen hate on toolsmith. though it does suck starting out - the stick and stone phase sucks bad - which is why the starterkit has black bronze tools.

edit: ahh he went around commenting weird / questionable stuff on a handfull of people's posts and launched his own server. all makes sense now 😄

saying it's an advertisement ploy doesn't make any sense at all. Yes, I went around looking for servers and eventually gave up and did my own thing, nowhere did I direct people to my ad from other ads lol

If you look at the servers I posted in it took DAYS for me to decide it was pointless. If someone's only goal was to spam in people's threads to generate non-existent traffic to their post wouldn't they do it after they launched the server and also spam all of the threads around the same time?

i don't agree it adds all that much more tedium - and the tools with customized handles, in my case ebony wood - so damn pretty. and they last a lot longer than vanilla tools, plus optional perks if you decide to do it (oil/leather/etc) - adds value possiblities

death corpse, and the corpse stays there without anybody being able to loot it for like 1-3 IRL days? i forget, it's more than long enough to get back to it and even find help to if you need to

nobody has to use RP voice chat or join discord, though game chat is linked to a discord channel so people can talk back and forth from the channel to game chat

Don't let the "advanced" look of the server turn you away when you log in. It's not a "let's get to steel, do the story and quit" server. It's for people to come, make a home, have a life outside the game, play other games, come back weeks or months later and still have their progress. Chill. Hang out. Build massive projects. Visit others. Live.

Hello, there. Nice to see you again.

We are currently on another slow period, after a few rather heavy periods of people coming through. Everything going as expected. Year 11 of a minimum of 100. As I said, this server isn't a rush to whatever progress and everybody quits. It's going to be here for a long time. Log in, meet people, do stuff, get swept away by life for a few months, come back, it's all still here.

Future plans that still need done:
Need a large arena for all the activities.
Need an alchemy shop in town.
Need an art / chiseled item gallery. Or one of each even!

Current plans being worked on:

A casino is being built.

Library is mostly renovated but we need books added. I'm not talking about just lore and skill books, but there are some writers including myself that are going to put a bunch of stuff in. as well as a bunch of custom lore and history and such. lot of ideas.

One of the guys is working on figuring out steam power / mass steel production, to be accessed by established long term players.

What we have:
Gun shop (owner is moving, currently not around but will be back.)
Start area workshop (just helve hammer / quern / pulv, for new people to move to building stage faster - no steel / beehive kiln / etc at spawn)
Tons of area on paths around spawn to build shops / set up outposts to transport back and forth from bases out in the world
Translocator room going to other areas, including 2 on a new flatter continent.
Tons of tree/plant, animal, gun mods. Takes some time to load in but it's remarkably stable.
Both Rustbound Magic and Botania seem to be coexisting remarkably well. Seems to be no problem with Alchemy or anything else either.
Only having to reboot once a day, unlike other heavily modded servers that reboot 2-4 times a day.

Hello there. Since last we spoke, one of the new guys had a wild hair and built a tower ...... with a different tree type planted on each one .... He wasn't sure if it would work, and perhaps it didn't work as well as he hoped. The top few layers don't seem to be warm enough to grow what he put there.

The Library is slowly coming along. Looking for fellow adventurers to come contribute stories to it. Written? Some favorite short stories others wrote? Poems? Adding a lot of user generated content to it.

Are you worried that there's no reason to join because so many people have already gotten into iron and steel? So much has been built? That's not what this server is about.

There's a lot of space up and down the spawn paths for outposts. Everybody who comes gets several summon plots in CANClaims - main base summon and graveyard, outpost summon by spawn, several other summons for actual outposts or mines or whatever they want - gardens in other climates, etc.

A massive amount of mods that seem to load fine for everybody as long as they have 32GB of ram. Dinos, tons of guns (including our gunsmith BamnMcNoice) - dinos, rhinos, friendly dragons you can tame and use as a flying / ground / water mount, depending. Dragons that are not friends that you can hunt for loot. Elephants, Bison, Ents, tons of stuff around. Alchemy, Rustbound Magic, Botania Story, Butchering, all seem to work together to all of our surprise.

This server is meant to be a place you can come hang out, spread your wings, stretch your legs, come and go as you play seasons on other servers, return to see people you've met here - no worries. It's not going to wipe over and over. It's not going to up and disappear one day. At least not without multiple months warning and all the chances in the world to export everything you want - and there will always be world downloads available in the worst cases.
