#Divine Ascension

Interesting. Wouldn't mind a slightly retooled version where instead of being devoted to one individually/as a faction, it's essentially doing things for the pantheon as a whole, where the actions of a faction determine which buffs are strongest.
Making me think of the Pharaoh city builder atm for potential comparison, where different factions end up having different amounts of favor/prestige for the gods...
Thinking about it for an extra second, would be more than just a slight retool.
@shy trellis sorry for the delayed response, but I've been cooking 👨🍳 . Players can name their deity and the blessings themselves are in the /config directory of the mod. You can make them whatever you want... give them a different icon and tune values. I'll add a readme file so it is more apparant on how to do this.
Just some user interface screenshots. The right side is a holy site.
I hope you mean cooking for the mod cause 13 days of just working on food, must be one hell of a long-boiled stew.
Either way, good to know.
I'd assume the limits for how many blessings are allowed per deity are restricted by the server's config?
Such that for a small server that with a friend group, one "religion" of sorts could be set up as a major "Pantheon of All Gods" sort of thing where all the buffs are present?
Though looking at the screencaps of the UI it looks like a civilization can have multiple religions within it, meaning each player could have their own dedicated deity that they're representing who has specific niche benefits to their role in the village/their class.
*More of a stacking benefits and otherwise light RP sort of mindset for these questions, of a server of at most like 10 close friends, rather than a large MP server for friend groups to muck about with
Yes. Players can also join a religion and help it progress faster.
That I already understood from the mod page.
At any rate, thanks for the responses.
-# Name of the mod still made me half expect something from wuxia novels like Apotheosis or something.
Currently, there are 6 player and 4 religion blessings. I think the user interface isn't setup to draw them dynamically, but it is completely possible.
Gotcha. So 6 per player individual tree, 4 slow on the player side build up.
Sounds rather neat.
Though for a small player server like what I've posited above I'd probably tweak it so each player could hopefully hit higher tiers with just 1~2 players. [I'd make an analogy but I have no idea how big the VS MP servers are in player count]
I assume that a player, when designing a God for their Religion, determines said deity's type and what kind of blessings they bestow, possibly picking the actual perks individually per tier?
Contemplation beyond this point requires actually seeing how many different blessings there are within the mod.
A sort of upper-level "Pantheon Blessing" upon a civilization accumulated from all the Religions followed within it could be neat, though something that is a more universal bonus based off average religion tier.
@shy trellis you actually can tune the progression too. If you install the configlib and use the mod settings in the user interface you can tweak the progression to be faster or slower.
Either way, amazing mod to have set up.
-# Personally I still would've called the mod something like "Blessings of the Gods" or "Call of the Divine" or something. Cause "Divine Ascension" makes me think the players are gonna become demigods themselves.
I was incorrect. My user interface will draw however many blessings are defined in the config. I just created 20 blessings split between religion and player. The limit currently is the ranks, but those too can be treated the same way. There is a caveat here I found some bugs, but I'll have those fixed next release.
The ones without icons just don't have assets in the textures directory.
Does this mod require player claiming to be turned on?
what is smoke rose?
for holy sites yes
hey hows it going, is there anything i could edit in the mod files to get it's output away from the general chat boxes?
