#How many people can swim with 60 lbs of steel strapped to them?

Copper armor should be heavier than steel though
Answer to your subject question - Seraphs are not human so they can 🙂
But I agree, armor types should give you some effect.
Plate armor could drastically reduce you ability to swim.
Crude armor (wood) could make you swim better.

add some ways to stay underwater longer and you have sorta realistic early diving gear!
lol why meteoric plate armour the only one which has the helmet vizor? 😂
also in the vein of giving armor some downsides so it's not just a freebie: helmets could possibly obscure vision, though obviously this could just make the game unfun
this would not affect the player vision
just for look
🤷♂️
cause helmet with vizor looks sus
And bronze should be better than Iron but people would probably never use iron in the game if that was the case
Would be interesting to see armors affecting vision
Resulting in variation in armor choice
🤷♂️
I like this idea. It would make moats perfect for one of their original purposes again; cannot cross bodies of water into a castle when you are covered in armor. For PVP this would make more intriguing situations between two ‘factions’ or ‘guilds.’
Actually wouldn't affect your ability to float as much as you thing, soggy clothes do impair movement though

Your Hollywood preconceptions of how armor works are wrong.
Mobility in Medieval Plate Armor. This video shows that full plate allows one to stand up from a fall with relative ease. Perhaps the most infamous example is the notion that "knights had to be hoisted into their saddles with a crane," which is as absurd as it is persistent even among many historians. Misconceptions and Questions Relating to Arm...
you still can't swim easily in heavy armor of any kind, really
From what I can tell you can but the question becomes with how much stamina https://youtu.be/TLcT5J7yg9k?si=Q-HTQoTMleHNBme9
Walking or running in a full suit of samurai armour is not the easiest thing in the world. Swimming in it is even harder, but that's exactly what some in Japan are doing. For fun. Duration: 02:16
You or I getting in water with armour yeah we would drown. We don’t wear such things or work as hard or do daily PT. But trained warriors are different
A heavy backpack would absolutely cause you to drown though
Having a stack of any blocks would make you sink
Maybe except for logs (they float)
Stacks of logs offset some of the weight of other blocks
