Im having a problem connecting to a local server, but i and another friend discovered a problem that did this:

Due to a recent windows update i had, it removed both javaw and Minecraft apps from the whitelist on the network firewall. But i had joined a server and it only asked permission for the javaw executable instead of both that and the Minecraft Launcher and Java Edition applications

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft java and the launcher, but i didnt get a firewall popup, nor was minecraft whitelisted. Please help me fix this and thank you!

Hey guys im using a curseforge mod and there are no updates on the modpacks and im running 1.21.11 mindcraft and 21.11.42 neoforge. Im trying to load a server my friends and i made that ive been playing on and it just now started saying “connection lost” “3.25.49, but the server wants it to be version: 3.25.51!” In orange but under it in yellow it says “server wants it to be version:1.4.40!”. I'm having a strange issue regarding loading worlds up with Vibrant Visuals (including fancy graphics with recommended chunk render distance), whenever I would load a world (especially an infinite world) the game crashes. Due to a recent windows update i had, it removed both javaw and Minecraft apps from the whitelist on the network firewall. But i had joined a server and it only asked permission for the javaw executable instead of both that and the Minecraft Launcher and Java Edition applications

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft java and the launcher, but i didnt get a firewall popup, nor was minecraft whitelisted. Please help me fix this and thank you!

to install shaders you need to first install a shader loader like iris shaders. then launch the loader and go to options -> video settings -> shader packs and drop and enable the shader

Then reach out to class tweaker or sodium as this is something wrong with what you installed. And for modded I highly suggest using a legal modded launcher instead as it's much easier to control modpacks and modded content that way. Atlauncher or prism tend to be the best options.

It's cause you're trying to install them manually and they are mismatched. As someone who helps with modded a lot, it really does make a massive difference to use a dedicated launcher for your modded experience. Prism and Atlauncher aren't going to bog down your pc
